"Very comfortable seats!" I've been told, but unfortunately will never find out thanks to their non-existent customer service. This place deserves to be shut down and fined for theft and extortion.
Last week, I went online and paid for 3 tickets to go see Thor Ragnarok. I had planned to go with my wife and my brother and we were very excited to see the movie as well as experiment their "very comfortable" seats.
Well, unfortunately, a family emergency came up and we weren't able to make the showing. I called immediately and I was "helped" by Vanessa, who seemed very understanding that stuff happens, but said that she couldn't do anything to help me, that I should call back and speak to the General Manager, Jesus.
I tried to get the group together so we could see the movie on Saturday or Sunday, but we just couldn't make time to do so, since Friday evenings are our best option.
Anyway, so I was able to talk with Jesus the following Friday and no matter how many times I explained that I Paid for the 3 tickets, he kept repeating, "Sorry, but I can't let anyone in to see a movie for free."
He flat out refused to help, not even provide a pass so we could see the movie at another time! He went as far as to say, "Why should we be held responsible when you didn't show up for the time you said you'd show up for?"
Seriously??? He never even bothered to verify that the tickets were never even printed! Is this how you treat your customers?
I'm very very angry and I won't let this just go. I consider it theft on their part and I'll get my money back either way. I'll be filing a report with the AZ Attorney General as well as with the CA attorney general and be contacting my bank as well.
Stay away from this place because they don't care about you. I've been going to Harkins Theatres for a long time and also to AMC and I know for a fact that they would have issued me passes immediately.

Read more08/05/2025 update. Theater was ridiculously hot half way through the movie. Rather than complain because I didn't want to miss any of the movie.. I complained after. Manager was not friendly, said I can't fix what I don't know about. Customer service much? Between prices, lack of comfort, and rude staff it's no wonder theaters are dying. And BTW, this theater is run down. Recliners? Great. Worn padding and ripped covers? Not great. I think I'll watch from home from now on.
Can't make your movie and need a refund or reschedule for another time? Do it on the app. Just kidding. Their app feels like it's 1999. Clunky and just good enough to take your money. Okay, let's pretend it's 1989 and call the theater to talk to a manager. Just kidding. They don't answer. It is automated. Well... Surely you can just press 0 and ring the ticket desk or an office. Nope. It's makes you sit through a listing of every movie and every showtime for that day. Well at the end of that listing you can talk to someone. Haha nope. When I arrived after purchasing tickets online for a 2:15 showtime, at check-in we were told we had to purchase an additional ticket for our 10 month old baby. I let the girl at the front know he's a lap child and she informed me that it no longer mattered. She informed me there were no other seats on the row where I had purchased and I could pay for a seat at the front of the theatre even if no one would occupy it. I asked her if there was a manager I could speak to since we specifically schedule family movies during his nap time and we have done this at least once to twice a month since his birth. I was told there was no one I could speak to and was directed to the booth to purchase the additional ticket. I asked for a refund and out comes the manager to provide us one. He didn't even ask the reason, simply asked us to fill out a document AFTER the refund was complete. Regency Theatre just lost 4 ticket sales and Harkins Theatre earned them. I'm not coming back.
