House of Fades Barbershop — Local services in Yuma

Going to this barbershop literally makes my day. I am a female of afro-Latin descent and have spent my share time in barbershops with guys over the years, specifically in the Bay Area and in Atlanta. When I tell you this shop out beats all of them ( snaps ). As a female you want to feel respected and also be able to joke with the guys while getting a cut. The first time I walked into the shop, I immediately felt a warm chill vibe. There was good music playing and of course ESPN is on. All of the guys were welcoming, supportive, and just damn hilarious and REAL. That’s what I go to the shop for mainly besides getting cleaned up( like I said I’m a Sistah, no balls swinging here, but I still enjoy good authentic conversation). My barber is fresh out of barber school. He is also used to cutting straight hair but when I tell you this man can keep a conversation and cut hair. I appreciate his honesty. If he doesn’t know something he will ask and the other guys will support. I have never left looking a mess or feeling disappointed. When I leave I feel blessed, clean, and like I said respected as a woman in a barbershop. Best cut I’ve had in Arizona PERIOD. While the haircut itself turned out well, the barber's (Anthony) tone was aggressive, and he demonstrated terrible communication skills throughout the haircut. We followed Fernie from Goodfellas, He's been fading my 13 year olds hair for 1 1/2 and now cuts my disabled sons hair also shaved him.. my son is very picky and became very comfortable with Fernie.
