I've loved this theater since my family came to Zephyrhills a while ago! Therefore, "Zephyrhills Cinema 10" is my #1 favorite movie theater ever!
There are 10 individual movie theaters inside, & each theater has big electric chairs for each person to sit in. They are very comfortable seats & each person gets their own seat. They can adjust their seats however they want!b These seats are in all 10 auditoriums & they are truly so awesome, comfortable and very relaxing. Everybody gets their own seat- NOW THAT'S JUST ANAZING AND SO AWESOME!
The owner, Larry, is a guy I have lots of respect for. He doesn't know me personally, because he's so busy. When I see him, we only have time to say hello. However, a few friends of mine know him & have told me great things about him.
I've known who the theater owner, Larry, was since I met him at my 1st Z-Hills movie. It was circa 1982 & I was 8 years old excitedly waiting to see a movie. My family & I all wanted to see E.T. Larry, was the owner of the theater back then too (it had only 1 theater in 1982). As we entered, Larry, welcomed my family to the theater as my dad was paying for us to see the movie E.T. The one little theater back then was so crowded that I had to sit on my Dad's lap and I had a tutu on as I'd come from a ballet recital. Seeing E.T., in the "Zephyrhills Hometown Theatre", sitting on my daddy's lap, is still one my top 3 precious memories that I'll always love to remember & cherish.

Then many years later, the owner, Larry, built a beautiful bigger 10 auditorium movie theater, which was an enormous, beautiful movie theater building that held 10 movie auditoriums. It's the one on 301, called "Zephyrhills Cinema 10".
Good ol Mr. Larry is still the owner & he still has an incredible work ethic, which explains his hard work. To keep up with maintaining 10 movie auditoriums every day of every week all year around, would take a lot of hard work. The only way to make it successful- it's HARD WORK! I'm so GRATEFUL this newer bigger theater was built. I think it was built somewhere between 25 & 30 years ago, give or take some extra years. Building "Zephyrhills Cinema 10" was a HUGE GIFT to this town. Thank you! 👋
Also, I'm VERY grateful that "Zephyrhills Cinema 10" survived the COVID outbreak & everything that followed. Meaning, owners were losing revenue when people weren't paying for entertainment and staying home or holding up in quarantine. People avoided being around groups for a long time due to COVID & where do groups normally go? Groups go many places and movie theaters are one of those places that hold big groups of people. That's a financial disaster for any business owner when that happens.
However, the movie theater won out!
SCORE: Covid 0 - Zhills Cinema 1
The theater prevailed and was made EVEN BETTER with the new electric chair and every time my son & see a movie, it's packed- YAY! I feel so blessed that our 'Hometown Theater" lives on.
I hope the movie goers of Zephyrhills, are grateful that Larry, the owner, helps all of us locals financially, by keeping the movie ticket prices down. His prices are so reasonable & so much lower than Wesley Chapel/Tampa prices. I admire the fact that there's no greed in this owner- as it allows more people to see & enjoy the movies.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to the staff at Zephyrhills Cinema 10. You're all so polite, hard working, friendly, professional & have a good attitude. Thanks to Larry who, as far back as I can recall, has always been the kind & respected "Movie Guy" of Zephyrhills. He cares about the people in this area & making our community better. He's always improving his theater too.
In 1982, my family relocated to Zephyrhills. One of my top 10 greatest memories is sitting Now that I'm a , proud mom, I get to take my son to the movies every week. It's just as enjoyable to take him as when I was a kid. Now I get to see my son enjoy movies too. It's the fun circle of life!...
Read moreBrief: The projector in the theater we were seated in would switch from a normal brightness to dim enough to be difficult to see the film. We went and asked for our money back, the owner/manager (whoever he was, I'm uncertain), told us, "there's nothing we can do about that." If you like spending your money at a theater where broken equipment is acceptable and they have no plans of fixing it then this is your theater.
Full: I'm surprised at all of the good reviews of this place. I took my wife to see a film on a Saturday, the lobby had quite a few very badly flickering fluorescent lights which gave the air of "we don't care about our business". We bought our tickets (which we couldn't pay for with credit card, cash only because their system was down), and went to our theater. There were quite a few people in there, so I'm not sure if it was warm because of the amount of people or if they just have the temperature set quite high, but it was relatively uncomfortable. At this point none of the things bothered me enough to leave, it would have been a 4 star experience (mostly for the flickering lights and warm humid environment), but the thing that I refused to accept was the projector. The projector would flip between a normal brightness and what looks almost like a "overheat" function, that is the unit would power down the bulb to prevent it from overheating. Basically the movie would switch from normal brightness to about 1/3 the brightness of when the projector was behaving. I wasn't going to pay for that, so my wife and I both agreed to leave. We went to the lobby and told them we'd like a refund, and they gave us our money back. One of the younger people there asked us why, and we told him about the fluctuating projector. There was a man in his 60s, he said in a snippy tone, "There's nothing we can do about that." IS THAT SO? You couldn't get your projector serviced? You couldn't buy a new projector? There's nothing in your power as the owner of this establishment you could do to fix a broken projector?
This was my first visit, and it'll definitely be my last as well. I don't need to play Russian roulette with my hard earned money to see if a projector is broken. I'll go to a theater where they care about the viewing experience. Will it cost me $12 instead of $8? Yes, but for the assurance of the theater not using broken equipment...
Read moreI really don't want to bring down the rating of a small town movie theater but after going here 3 times in the last month and having the same issues each time, I feel there are some things I need to address. Every time I've been here, they have been out of so many things. Specifically for me, the kiddie pack. But only because they are out of a certain candy. I do not understand why the candy cannot be replaced with a different candy. Can't get something in? Theres a dollar store right down the street. I don't feel there is anyone trying hard enough to make that work. Because after that, there is really no deal to accommodate young kids, it just goes straight to larges or I can individually buy a small drink and popcorn which basically add up to the large deal anyway. I also don't understand why there is only one soda fountain and they are not on top of keeping their sodas in that one fountain in stock, at this point in their history, how have they not had the funds to upgrade? No one can tell me they don't profit; I sat in a movie theater completely full last night. That was just one theater, times every other theater, times concession prices. I used to drive a lengthy distance to go to AMC before a friend showed me this location and i was like this is cool! I don't feel this way anymore. They aren't any cheaper than a big named theater and yet I am paying the same prices for a lesser experience. Last night, my child asked if we could go back to AMC like "we used to." They have comfy seats and the staff is mostly friendly, but it doesn't seem they genuinely care enough about customers who are trying to stay...
