This small market is mostly for students of nearby university and colleges; thus its prices are very reasonable and not much room for bargain. Sunday afternoons my boyfriend and I often come here for a food tour with: Super delicious bánh tráng trộn (rice paper mixed with herbs, quail eggs, dried beef, mangoes, dried shrimps, fish sauce, etc.), 15,000d/pack, Bánh tráng nướng Đà Lạt (Dalat style grilled rice paper with eggs, onions, dried beef, etc.), 10,000d/piece, Snails (you should only look for Ốc hút Cô Luận, this is the best place with the best snails in Danang, or central coast of Vietnam I would say), 8,000d/dish. My boyfriend and I normally have 4 dishes with a grilled rice paper (2,000d each) = 34,000d. Noodles mixed with pork skin, bananas flowers, herbs, peanuts, etc. served with grilled rice paper. 10,000d/portion. I normally ask for no oil and no chilli pepper sauce, if you don't like oily food and spicy food like me, remember to remind the shop owner to not put these rhings to your dish. Bánh đập (one grilled rice paper topped with a retangular or round piece of flat and thick noodles, served with mắm nêm - a strong smell kind of fish sauce in central coast areas of Vietnam), 2,500d/pack. One dish is 10,000d with 4 packs. Bánh mỳ bột lọc (bread with bột lọc inside), 10,000d, you can buy from the same shop with bánh đập. Avocado ice cream (remember to look for Kem bơ Cô Vân - avocado ice cream Cô Vân, there are several places that sell avocado ice cream inside the market, but this shop offers the best. 10,000d/cup. Juice with fresh seasonal fruits (apples, pineapples, strawberries, guavas, mangoes, etc.) 10-15,000/cup And tons of other things nearby like bánh bèo, bánh nậm, bún mắm, bún thịt nướng, bánh căn, bánh ram ít, bánh canh, etc. Cost is around 10-15,000d/dish.

Total cost is around 40-50,000d/person,...

This is my third time to this local market. I don't know why I come here so many times but I think because there would be something special that keeps me coming back. I love the local atmosphere over here, where I could see grandmothers, mothers go to the market to buy food. It's not just a market, but a place for people to hang out, to talk to each other, to socialize and to feel that we're belong to somewhere. In this place I can smell so many tasty food but not sure if all of us would like the smell, especially for foreign tourists.

In the market, you defenately should try the Avocado Ice cream (Kem Bơ bà Vân) and the snails. Wow, they taste different from every places that I tried the ice cream. The Avocado is fresh, the ice cream is tasty and most of all the attitude of the shop owners that makes it uinque, super friendly. They have varity of choices for u. The snails also very good and fresh. For anybody who like the street food, this is a must go. The price is reasonable and again you come there not just to eat but to experience the local life.

I will come here often...

One of the highlights of my day is exploring this vibrant local market—a living fabric of daily life in Danang. It’s more than just a place to shop; it’s a sensory journey. The vendors are warm and attentive, creating an inviting atmosphere for all who visit.

My go-to items? The fresh fruits and vegetables, but the true gem is the coconuts—refreshing, abundant, and perfect for fueling a day of adventure. I’ve discovered that early mornings offer the best experience, with fewer crowds and the freshest picks.

However, navigating the market comes with a unique twist—be mindful of the motorbikes weaving through the foot traffic. The energy peaks in the late afternoons when locals finish work, adding a lively buzz to the space.

Don’t miss Rahat Bakery and their delightful baked goods, and on Buddha Days, indulge in the flavorful vegan fare tucked inside the main building.

As a traveling plant-based chef with a passion for food science and flavorology, I’m always on the hunt for culinary inspiration. Check out my other reviews on Google Maps for more plant-based insights and...

Local market with cheap produce, seafood, meat, spices, and other goods. The market is hosted outdoor and indoor. Indoor, you will find a lane of food vendors with cheap food and drinks, from about 10k. Restaurant menus have prices listed. It can be very crowded as you navigate both people and motorbikes. All of the activities, scents, and sounds really give you a sensory experience. You’ll mostly find locals here, which is a sign that things are cheap. Highly recommend checking out if you are in the area. Very little English is spoken here, so be prepared with Google Translate and the calculator on your phone for pricing. Market closes around 6pm. Parking is available for motorbikes at 3k.

Chó Băc market in Mý An district is a superb and authentic shopping experience. As I live here a few months of the year, I constantly shop at this market. The food quality is extremely fresh and the choice of foods is always extensive. The fish are always moving on the ice trays, as they have only been caught literally an hour ago if you shop at 07.00 (the best time, as there are no tourists, and only locals getting all the best food !!). For those looking for a genuine vietnamese market. You will not go wrong here. Today in the photos you will see what I purchased.. all that for only 280k dong. That's how to live cheaply here and as a local.

The location of the market isn’t the best and is a bit far but is by far my favorite that I’ve visited in Da Nang so far. It’s got both an inside and outside section. The inside has mainly meats, fish slices, ready to go meals, sweets, etc. The outside has a ton of vegetables, fruits, flowers, and a seemingly Russian bakery. I highly recommend getting the mini watermelons and mangoes as per kg (for watermelon) it’s VND 10,000 which I find to be a great price and coconut drinks for VND 15,000 which is extremely sweet. Great market to pass by if you’re in the area or to get fresh produce if you’re staying near.
