I do not like leaving negative reviews, especially as a fellow South African.
We took our friends here, even though it is expensive , there is variety.
First of all, it was so insanely dirty. The tables were left dirty, the seating was full of crumbs and serviettes, the staff did quickly clean up as we say down.
Second of all, the owner was so incredibly drunk and having drunken conversations with the staff so loud that we couldn’t hear each other speak. Mumbling the same 3-4 words. They were obviously very uncomfortable and trying to be kind and professional.
Then we ordered Ginger Ale x 3 and a Sprite. We waited 20 min and asked about the Ginger Ale, the staff said they ran out and had to go buy some more - fair, we don’t mind, the staff was kind.
The owner, off his face drunk, starts yelling across the restaurant to ask us if we were South Africans… he then proceeds to get up , barely able to stand and rocking back and forth, approach us and asks us questions, which we don’t mind, but he is pushing us to speak Afrikaans, we say no, he again, can barely stand, is drunk and barefoot and talking to us in a baby voice. He then just stands there and stares at us….Touching my friend on the shoulder who is sitting with her back to him and once again talking in a babying way to her…
It was so uncomfortable, it was so weird, it was genuinely a very unpleasant experience when we made it very clear we just want to talk to our friends. When we said we don’t speak Afrikaans, he made a face and then said well he should probably leave before his staff tells him to stop bothering people.
We decided to finish our Ginger Ale when it and leave - as we walked out he was sitting with another lady and she yelled at us as we walked away “are these the South Africans that speaks Afrikaans?” And he loudly answers “yes”
This was at 5pm
Do we speak Afrikaans? Yes. 2 of us do. Did we want to speak Afrikaans with him? No Because he was drunk and being obnoxious. I feel sorry for the staff. They were genuinely so nice and kind.
Just very unprofessional Weird

Read moreFirst visit.. wagu steak.. I asked for it medium rare to really enjoy the quality of wagu.. definitely not wagu! No idea where they getting this meat from but by far the worst steak I have ever had! Full of gristle and unbelievably chewy for a type of steak that should melt in your mouth! More like stay in your mouth while you file your teeth down for an hour trying to break it down enough just to swallow. Chips were soggy, almost wet with grease.. the only saving grace was the coleslaw..they couldn’t get that wring but it was still flavourless and very boring.. Normally I would say you pay for what you get but this is Vietnam so I have to say, terribly overpriced for terrible food. DO NOT BELIEVE THE ADVERTISING PICTURES! Avoid this place. Just in case I can’t write another review I will explain quickly that I went there again to try the “recommended” by a friend, smoked chicken, mash and salad… Once again, terrible!! Old reheated chicken brought out in a matter of minutes from order with what tasted like packet mash (smash for those who know), disgusting at best.. Service terrible. Not friendly at all, dark dingy inside section and filthy tables outside. Once again, I know it’s Vietnam but come on guys, get these tables wiped down and cleaned properly for your customers. The dishes the food was served in were also filthy, greased smeared and clearly hadn’t seen any washing up liquid. At best maybe rinsed under a tap after the previous customer! Really poor show after looking forward to something other than Pho…. Back to VN food now as it’s far better value, far cleaner and far tastier. The photos actually look far better than it tasted so well done Apple iPhones… Look at the close up of the chicken!! They shouldn’t be allowed to serve old chicken. Not only is it a health hazard it’s...
Read moreThis was the most expensive meal I had in Da Nang, and the worst meal I had in Da Nang. Just to clarify, I ordered on Grab so this only represents my experience with their delivery, but this was also the ONLY meal out of hundreds I ordered on Grab which I didn't finish and didn't enjoy, to say the least. Also, Grab deliveries are super fast and the food arrived still hot so this is not a case of a dish not being eaten the way it was meant to. I ordered the 350g "Wagu Rump+2 eggs+chips", asked for medium and man, I had to chew on a shoe sole after trying to eat this steak just to give my teeth a break. It was literally impossible to eat and I don't know how it's possible for a place to serve a dish like that and charge so much money for it. The fries were too salty, the eggs were alright, the only thing that was actually edible. I also specifically asked for cutlery, both turned on the option to receive cutlery and also wrote an instruction within my order, and got nothing, had to eat with my hands. At least there wasn't much to eat with my hands because it was inedible, so ended up throwing most of it in the garbage. I don't like shaming businesses and I'm sure they're trying their best, and to be honest for all I know it might be a great place if you're getting anything else and maybe dining in. This review is solely based on one experience with this place, it's just that in this instance it was so bad, that I feel like the owner should have a taste of this dish and see if it's something they actually want to keep serving to his or...
