Read moreThis museum is fantastic. A great way to learn about Vietnam, but also really the whole world! There are two very well air-conditioned buildings. One building is for South East Asia more broadly, some works from all over the world, and a rotating exhibit (currently about everyday life in Korea). The second building is just about the different people of Vietnam.
I learned so much through the signs in the South East Asia building about the pieces and how they relate to the culture.
The Vietnamese building was also interesting with some videos to watch - and it looked like you might be able to get an audio tour but I couldn’t see any signs to buy one.
The outdoor area was my favourite - but very hot as we went in summer. You can go into all the houses, and the signs explain what part of Vietnam the houses are from. There are also tombs and boats to look at, and lots of shade from all the trees.
Note: To enter the homes, you must take your shoes off. Wear some easy to take on and off shoes! ☺️
There are 2 cafes, toilets and 2 souvenir shops too. For 40k ticket entrance, this is a must see. We really enjoyed our time and spent maybe 3 hours here, and got a hibiscus iced tea at the cafe after.
