Royal St Hanoi Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

They do not offer airport pick-up. I tried to arrange airport pick-up with the hotel 3 times. When I arrived at the airport I called and they sent a private car. I wasn't happy to be asked to pay 250,000 VND. That's one third of the cost of my room! Not a lot in USD, but I live in Vietnam on a teachers salary. I don't trust this hotel although the room was nice and they conceded in the end and didn't make me pay. Any advertising for airport pick-up should be excluded from the booking site. We had a bad and uncomfortable experience at this hotel. we have booked a room on agoda and it's confirmed through email already. We arrive to the hotel at 8pm. Unfortunately, the receptionist of the hotel says there is no more room available even they are being notified already. We were so exhausted after a long trip. And at late in the evening, they said there is no more room, which causing us look for another property to stay over. ||Upset, tired and exhausted. Unprofessional at hospitality. Nothing to say....

This was my first time in Vietnam. The hotel was close to many attractions,and it was cheap to take a car using the Grab app. Hotel staff speaks English, can help you change money, and get around. Only draw backs were 1) Room service only had 10 options and at least 3 weren't available, and 2) Noise from city traffic could be heard all night.
