Riverside Hanoi Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

The location is not that great; there is nothing to see or do in the area, barring a small souvenir shop next door, and a small cafe that closes early on the other side of the hotel. Don't expect any spectacular views from this hotel either. ||||The room was fairly clean, although pretty bare boned. The Tv has a few channels in various languages. The free wifi is slow, and the signal was quite weak, despite having a separate router on each floor. You can also hear each time the shower or toilet is flushed by the room above you. The walls are so thin, you can even hear someone blowing their nose. My rain shower required repairing, as it sprayed water all over the ceiling from a loose connection. The bed was fairly comfortable, albeit a little on the firmer side.I noticed some staining on one of my bath towels as well. ||||Staff do speak English, although their understanding is fairly limited. I had an issue with some loud partying floormates, and the staff was unable to deal with my complaint. ||||Buffet spread at breakfast is pretty good. Egg station, small bowls of beef pho are served, along with vermicelli and jellyfish salads. Lots of fresh fruit (dragon fruit, banana, passionfruit and watermelon), and various fruit juices (mixed berry, strawberry guava are some of the standouts). ||||There is a gym, steamroom and sauna. However, it is located on the 12th floor, and the elevator only goes up to the 11th floor. You will have to walk up a flight of unlit stairs. ||||Toiletries included: shampoo, body wash. Amenities: toothbrush and toothpaste, comb, 2 pairs of disposable slippers. 2 free bottles of water included. There is a plug in water kettle...

Nice, decent hotel. Staffs are mostly good. Rooms are spacious,washroom is good. AC functioning optimally. Location good. Gym good.

Only one bad experience that happened with me at breakfast today which I want to share here about one lady staff who behaved in a kind of threatening tone to ask my room number to force me to pay a bill for the breaking of a cup which was carelessly placed in the table. Unfortunately I was standing next to this to drink water. I tried to prevent the fall of that cup but failed. What I found out silly is that there was Close circuit camera in the room and she could have checked it before behaving rudely and Intimating way or she should ask her senior to check the incident. Fortunately there was a very nice gentle senior (probably senior to her) who understood the problem and assured me that this was not a mistake of mine rather an unfortunate incident that happened because of no fault of mine. I am thankful to him.

I wrote this incident as there are many tourist who are coming from my great country (India🇮🇳) who might have communication problems with them and might have been for forced to pay penalty for such thing without any fault of them. And the behavior of such staffs must be corrected to be more humble and polite and tourist...

The hotel does sit by a river by the view is nothing like the pictures. The hotel itself looks amazing from the outside and is clean and modern in the inside. The staff seem helpful but customer service is lacking. We ordered dinner at the hotel and had it brought up to the room as the restaurant was very hot and had no air conditioning. Staff had to take the order again as they couldn't renown we what we ordered and then had to go back and forth three more times in order to get it right. Language barriers are not an excuse in this situation as the menu was written in Vietnamese and English. The hotel sits on a road that is dirty and looks dangerous in the evening.
