Just spent 5 days in 4 bedroom suite with All-Inclusive plan. Then overnight in 2 bedroom suite on 1st floor, without all-inclusive plan. Both rooms were GORGEOUS! Each had its own flavor and special thing about it. The 2 bedroom had a swim-up pool. The 4 bedroom had a plunge pool, the size of a jacuzzi. Overall: Amazing, beautiful facilities, good food, activities and service. The building and grounds are just gorgeous. The rooftop pool and bar were great. The food was good, the drinks are good (mostly). The staff on the Vista side in particular are friendly and helpful. All of the concierge staff are great, very helpful. Elder was our butler and he was always responsive and smiling! Then there was Trinidad - golf cart driver/porter - he was the best! So friendly! He just had a great attitude always. The Milagro spa was very nice, upscale., and very expensive. We booked excursions through the resort. The sunset jazz cruise was fun. Not actually jazz music, but mellow and nice time. The “luxury sailing” day trip with Cabo Adventures was The Best experience for me! If you want to just relax, mostly stay at the resort with a trek or 2 to town, the all-inclusive is the way to go. The cost for a la cart is muy, muy expensive. (It’s comparable to Beverly Hills or Hollywood Hills.) The not so great: So some fair warning about the Vista and Hacienda Encantana restaurants. The food is good. No complaints there unless you want your beef well cooked. (They don’t understand the concept.) But the service leaves much to be desired. It’s not the slowwwwwness that’s a problem. After day 1, I can appreciate slowing down and not feeling rushed for dinner. The problem is that we regularly experienced waiting 30 minutes or more … with no water, no bread, no drinks, no menu even. Then, we order food, drinks, starters, entree. Wait another 15 minutes or more for drinks. Wait another 20-30 minutes for food - and it all comes out at once. Sometimes, the starters/appetizers come even after the entree! This was an issue at every dinner service, at every restaurant we went to. And if you reserve dinner at 8 or 8:30, after having you wait for an hour to eat, the kitchen and servers will suddenly rush to get you out. They need a complete retraining of the kitchen and serving staff. One other warning: We went to many of the pools. It is so interesting … the only one that we did not have a great time at was the one exclusive to adults. The bar staff were rushing us to close out around 4:30 pm, and were not friendly. At all. And seriously? The adult pool bar closes at 5 or 6? Really? That’s unheard of. They must have an unkind boss because their attitudes were so different than other staff at the resort. It’s almost like wherever the kids are, the staff is more friendly! So, the rooftop pool became our spot because it was in the Vista building, and although there were some kids, there weren’t many. Far more were at the Hacienda pools. 😌 Overall though, I had a wonderful stay with great memories there. I only point out the negatives to help them improve and to give you fair warning. TIPS: If you want to spend a lot of time in Cabo San Lucas, then maybe all-inclusive isn’t the best. You can take the resort’s shuttle to their sister property, Marina Fiesta (or Fiesta Marina? Which, by the way, is in no way comparable. Very different properties!) A mall with a really nice grocery store is within walking distance. Stock up on supplies and bring it back to your room. Lol! Do not eat at their lobster restaurant at the Marina. $100 per pound for lobster? $20 for cheap liquor? They can keep it! In fact, don’t eat at any of their associated restaurants downtown.

I just finished a week's stay at Vista Encantada/Hacienda Encantada Spa Resort & Residences in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This resort is a good example of one with amazing potential if they only understood how important customer experience is to their business. The resort is gorgeous. It's on a hill with amazing views of the ocean, beaches and "Land's End" at the tip of Cabo San Lucas. The quality of construction was top-notch. The resort is beautiful in every way, is elegant and classy. I started my trip super excited as I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with its own private pool. It was the most beautiful suite I've ever stayed in. It was amazing. The concierge staff and butlers they assigned were responsive and professional. I had Daniel and Paul taking care of my every need in the hotel. Now for the opportunity for improvement. I signed up for the all-inclusive plan as between Vista Encantada, their sister property, Hacienda Encantada, which is connected and their third property in the Cabo marina, I had access to about 12 restaurants, which they claimed were all premier dining destinations. The food quality in all of their restaurants was mediocre at best. You'd think with a resort this beautiful, they'd invest in high-quality food, but they do not. The real problem is the service. My guess is that they do not have restaurant managers qualified enough for their roles. Next, the server training must be lacking or non-existent as the service was atrocious. In virtually every restaurant and bar, I had to continually reorder my drinks as they never arrived, ask for napkins and silverware, ask for salt and pepper shakers and deal with lengthy wait times for a server to visit my table. My drinks and food were consistently not what I had ordered. It got to the point where I was convinced I was on "Candid Camera" and someone was playing a prank on me. The worst service I've ever experienced in any resort I've stayed at. I asked other resort guests and all of them complained about the horrible service and poor food quality. It feels like this resort is only interested in getting people booked for a stay but doesn't care about their guest's experience. Nobody I spoke with will ever return to this resort again. It's such a shame to build such a gorgeous resort in such an amazing location, only to have guests that will never return due to the poor service. With great service, I'll bet 99% of the guests would plan to return, would post great reviews, tell their friends and become advocates for the resort. Instead, guests will not be returning and the resort is missing out on untold revenue. To Vista Encantada, customer experience matters and it is what builds a sustainable and successful business.

Booked a 2 bedroom unit over the Christmas holiday. didn't know what to expect on arrival, but was happily surprised with the well-appointed unit. Everything was immaculate and gave the feel of luxury. Unfortunately, our lovely room shared a common wall with the lobby. The weekend band was loud with a lot of bass - they seemed to go on forever, but actually ended at a decent hour. The resort is spread out so its a bit confusing at first, thank goodness for the carts and the friendly drivers. As a guest, you have a butler to help you with reservations, etc. Nice touch...ours was ok, didn't see or hear from him much. I ended up just going to one of the front desks with my requests. Daniel, my go-to guy was perfect. As mentioned in previous reviews, the food was average, the service suffered during busy times - it appeared the wait staff and kitchen couldn't keep up with a full-capacity dining hour. We just choose off-times reservations. Pools on the grounds were well-laid out, drinks weak Ii hears someone say "get a double", pool-side service for food/beverages slow. Don't wait until you are hungry.... We did enjoy our time at vista, was thankful for the polite and professional services we received which was 90% of time. The employees did do their best. I would return.

This is the resort you want to visit to relax and get spoiled. It was our 3rd trip to Cabo. Yes, it does cost more than others, but look into what you get for your $. Good food, beautiful grounds, a paradise waiting to enjoy. There are only a few 'snags' you want to be aware of. All inclusive now has a few restaurants restricted. Don't fall for the '$35 more a day you can get everything included'. It isn't worth it, but they will verbally dog you on it till you walk out of the office area. Dinner meals were best at Los Riscos, Barolo, and IL Forno, at the resort. Jack's Steakhouse and Legends down at the marina are good and also included. Places you may want to skip at dinner are Mestizo and LA Trajinera (both located at the resort). Two others to skip are Baja Lobster and Presto Italian restaurants down at the marina (they fell wayshort on quality and were a huge disappointment this year. There are 4 pool areas, and the all adults pool is at the edge on the Sea of Cotez. Enjoy the infinity pools and watch the boats and whales out on the water. The food here at the pool is great! Service is terrific. Enjoy. You can book Grayline transport from the airport to the resort on line.

My husband and I LOVE Los Cabo. Up until a couple of years ago we only stayed at Palmilla, Las Ventanas and other resorts. We had trepidation when initially booking Vista. We were pleasantly surprised. Our two bedroom was a huge 2700+sq condo. The rooftop pool, gym and restaurant is amazing! We’ve been back twice, and have upcoming reservations in February 2023 and December 2023. For the price point, you can’t beat it. Tips: -book the top shelf all inclusive package (liquor, filet, lobster). -take shuttle or private transport to resort and then book car through the resort. It’s cheaper and super quick then the BS at the airport, which is really offsite. -hit up the Fresko market for staples. Love that supermarket! -tip. You always have better service!

Wow! Just Wow!!! My friends and I just recently were pampered at Vista Encantada for a week. Talk about paradise. Words and pictures cannot do the place justice. Benjamin was our personal butler who rolled out the red carpet for us. He checked on us regularly and made our stay amazing. Anything we needed, Benjamin made sure we had. Maria our housekeeper didn't leave one speck of dirt behind and made the place seem like home. All of the staff on the entire property were very nice and accommodating. The pools, restaurants, and views were top notch. I could go on and on about how great our stay at Vista Encantada. We will definitely visit this place again and highly recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed!!!!
