Rincón de los Andes — Hotel in San Martín de los Andes

Our room was warm, comfortable, and clean. The minimal kitchen elements were enough to make a decent dinner in the room, but because the dinner specials at the resort were so good, and there are so many interesting and good restaurants in town, we only used it once. The place has a heated indoor pool and a steam room. The main lodge had comfortable places where we could relax and visit with the many new friends we made there.||||The resort is located just a few blocks from the bus terminal so getting to or from the resort is easy. Though close, you wouldn't know it once you're there. The resort is tucked under the edge of the mountains and even closer to the shore of Lago Lanin. The town with its many unique shops and restaurants is within walking distance, and the walk itself is interesting and pretty.||||We took advantage of some of the tours offered by Ulmen located in the lodge's lobby. Insist on tours with Roberto who is knowledgeable of the area, cares for his customers, knows the history and culture of the indiginous peoples (the Maipuche), and is captivating as he tells you about everything on the tour. Some guides show you sights, others explain them, but Roberto helps you live them.||||This is a nice resort located in an area with easy access to sights across the border in Chile and to Bariloche and the Seven Lakes region. The rooms of the hotel are outdated (TV, beds and decorations), does not have a warm welcoming feeling. Since these rooms are old, you can hear everyone in the hallway.||Seems the concierge service was overwhelmed due to the high season. If you plan to be in this hotel during high season, do not count on the internet (the front desk said it was not working due to the high volume of people arriving).||We had an issue with the gas/electricity, since the Interval voucher specified an amount and we got charged a higher amount. I talked to the front desk and they requested me to email the Interval voucher (note: bring the voucher printed out), but they never responded or changed the amount. The Interval voucher specified the amount to be charged by the number of rooms (dormitories) and they charged as if we had 3 rooms. When I asked why, they explained that we were 4 in the room (2 adults & 2 small children). So without a proper explanation, we felt overcharged...||I will not recommend this hotel to...

El lugar es bellisimo, el predio del complejo esta muy bien cuidado y limpio. Lo mas curioso del lugar es que no encontre fotos del interior de las habitaciones, al llegar a la habitacion me encontre el porque. Las habitaciones son comodas pero justas, la luz natural que tienen es pauperrima. Mientras te estas bañando, te miran los vecinos ya que la ventana da a un patio, sin contar que se te cae partes del cielorrazo en la cabeza, se ve que en algun momento fue muy de lujo, ya que hay muchisima madera por todos lados, mal cuidada, sellador de silicona por todos lados, los cables del fluorescente del baño a la vista, todo raspado de cuando lo limpian, pero sin cuidado. Todo esta pintado y emparchado asi no mas. En la cocina, con todo abierto, tenes que prender la luz interior para verle la cara a los demas, es muy oscuro y eso que teniamos de las habitaciones mas descubiertas del complejo. No tiene TV en la habitacion, tiene una pequeña tele de 24" que no es smart y que se ve muy mal. Los sillones cama, estan al borde de desarmarse de lo enclenque que estan, dice que tiene cafetera, buscandola encontre unicamente el porta filtro de papel, dice que tiene tostadora, despues de revolver bastante encontre una de chapa para la hornalla, toda enclenque que tuve que acondicionar para poder usar. Quisimos cocinar algo, no tienen parrilla en el complejo me dijeron "no se puede hacer fuego en ningun lado" al dia siguiente organizaron un fogon con bebidas para un selecto grupo de viejos. Tuvimos que usar el horno de la cocina, que estaba perfectamente limpio, pero que la puerta no cerraba asi que tuvimos que apoyar un palo para que se mantenga cerrado. Avisamos que habia olor a gas, la llave de paso no tenia la perilla, dijeron que mandaban a mantenimiento. Nunca vinieron. En medio de nuestra estadia echaron a una persona y todo el personal estaba medio amotinado. El trato fue relativamente bueno, la señora de limpieza fue una dulzura todo el tiempo. Los demas.. Meh. Estaban organizando un motin si no reincorporaban a la persona que echaron. La comida es buena, hay eventos para entretener a los huespedes. En general, si no fuera por el estado bastante malo de la habitacion (si tenes en cuenta que sale 200 mil pesos la noche no es aceptable), el lugar seria perfecto. Fuera de la habitacion, todo el complejo es excelente. Hay pool, metegol, padel, ping pong entre otros. El lugar esta bueno, es imperativo que actualicen las unidades.
