Merken — Restaurant in San Martín de los Andes

Kitchen was awfully unfocused. 3 times I got served cold dish. Burger wasn't high quality. The Lamb Rollada was full of fat (even though I specifically asked the waitress about the amount of fat in the dish and she said it's extra lean!) and got served cold with a literally frozen center. I asked to switch to the burger and the patty was well done which was almost a crime, but it was cold all around. The bun was half frozen. 2 times more they've served it cold. My go to restaurant/cafe/bar in San Martin de los Andes. The food is great, and the staff is really friendly. I spent entire days there working from my computer, and I always felt like I was working from home. The people are really friendly and treat you like family there. The prices are really good for such delicious food, and the portions are really good. Also they have great free Wifi, which is something hard to find in San Martin. San Martin de los Andes is probably the coolest place in the Southern Hemisphere atm and Merken is it's centre. As a bar, as a restaurant, as a cafe and as a daily experience. Owner Patricia Caffaro is a generous-spirited unpretentious people-lover who attracts characterful funny staff like TV wine guru Fernando Recuna and sweet natured witty barista Facundo Quiroga.
