1 Star $547 Gone with Zero Compassion
I’m honestly furious and incredibly disappointed. I had to cancel my booking due to an unavoidable personal situation something completely out of my control. I reached out hoping they’d show even a shred of understanding or basic human decency, but nope. They charged me the 50% $547 without hesitation.
No flexibility, no empathy, no attempt to work with me just a cold “you cancelled within 14 days, too bad, "stuff happens.” It felt like they couldn’t care less about their guests as long as they get paid. I’ve never experienced such rigid, heartless service from any accommodation before.
Please, do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. If anything goes wrong, don’t expect help, just expect to lose your money.
Peter described my situation as "stuff happens" but apparently they have 9 to 10 thousand bookings a year and no one has ever complained about their cancellation policy. Do not reply to this review Peter you have no idea about my situation and giving you 12 days to at least move the dates in such a situation that you know about is beyond shameful. Do not bang on about your clear cancellation policy. You are disgusting and I hope people avoid your motel after reading...
Read moreOur daughter and son in law shouted us a night away and who doesn’t love Berry! The Berry View was lovely, we stayed in the corner room of original (renovated) block with huge full height picture windows on two walls with a gorgeous balcony overlooking pool area and paddocks. The room was really nicely appointed with a great retro Palm Springs feel. We had a free standing bath in the room and a nicely fitted (albeit tiny!) bathroom with lovely hair and body products and all the bits you’d expect in a hotel. Small Nespresso machine nice for shots but no way to heat milk and a small selection of Berry Tea Shop teas too. We enjoyed the meal at the Berry Hotel (2 for 1 voucher provided) and then enjoyed a loop up to Cambewarra Mountain lookout cafe (spectacular views and fab coffee) then looped down to kangaroo valley, then up to Robertson with lunch at the Old Cheese factory and home to Wollongong.
Definitely worth a stay and Berry is such a beautiful little town set in the most delightful countryside.
Only two things to note: sliding door to bathroom jammed terribly on tiles and couldn’t be completely shut and little guest book is approximately 2 years out of date! Small things but...
Read moreBooked a very last minute stay for my parents and I as we were exploring south of Sydney.
I booked our stay around 3pm Monday afternoon to stay that night and received welcome messages and check in instructions almost immediately which was great. They also sent a message about Berry and where to get groceries etc.
Everything was so straightforward and easy. I had a single person room in the older/ original section of the motel which was amazing considering the price (got a last minute discount) and my parents opted to upgrade to the Deluxe queen room with a bath - this was fabulous and well worth the amount to upgrade. The deluxe room was located in the new extension.
The decor and vibe of the place was so peaceful, despite being located so close to the road. Pool area was lovely, such a nice addition to the property. Had a hot shower at the pool area too! Great little kitchenette with fridge freezer, tea/coffee facilities, dishwasher, sink, microwave etc.
All very well maintained and clean.
They really thought of everything here for this quirky little motel/ hotel.
Will definitely return...
