I recently visited this tea shop with my 13-year-old granddaughter, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Despite there being three empty tables, the two ladies behind the counter refused to serve us tea and cake because they were fully booked. It was only 1:45 PM, and I inquired about the next booking, which was scheduled for 3 PM.

We kindly asked if we could enjoy just 20 minutes to have our treats, but the answer was a firm "no." I was taken aback by a staff member's comment about not wanting to rush anyone. We were left feeling unwelcome, especially when we were offered the option to take our treats to go or to make a booking for a future visit instead.

My granddaughter was deeply disappointed, as a short tea break wouldn't have disturbed their next booking. Overall, I felt humiliated by the experience and cannot recommend this shop. It’s a shame, as we were looking forward to having just a few...

We had the most AMAZING experience at the Berry tea shop today. 5 stars are simply not enough to rate our experience. The two most wonderful and kind hearted ladies who served us our incredible devonshire tea are the sweetest you will ever meet! Thank you ladies, the world needs more people like you 💖 The cute courtyard area is super dog friendly and our Lucy was given special doggy treats on a special plate and lots of attention. Thank you so much for your warmth and hospitality to all 3 of us.The scones are to die for and the unique tea menu is extensive and designed for a tea connosieur like me. The shop is stunning with teas, teawares and treats to suit everyone. We smile when we think of this very special place. Its a MUST MUST MUST visit kind of place. We will certainly visit again everytime we come to the...

Beautifully quaint and whimsical, this little tea shop is an absolute neighbourhood gem! I once had a colleague mention going to Berry for scones and tea and when I decided to do a Google search, this came up as the first choice and is it any wonder?! Vast range of teas for you to have in store and the good variety of homemade cakes on display as well as other sweet treats make this place simply irresistible. The scones and raspberry jam are also delicious. The scones are served warm and taste every bit homemade.

They serve the sweets and tea on various crockery, making every item that comes to your table a delight.

The shop is very cosy so be prepared to wait during busy periods.

The female owner is just so sweet and generous.

Will definitely come back in the future as I wish Sydney had...
