The Berry Bon Bon Sweet Shop — Local services in Berry

Fantastic and iconic store, the Berry Bon Bon is an amazing sweets and goods store. The store is filled to the max with all different types of sweets and beverages from around the globe, one of my favourites is spearmint leaves and they are stocked here. Be careful when getting the mega sour lollies they definitely live up to their name. The store is located just off the main road down a side street. I’ve seen other reviews mention about the price of the sweets but in all fairness it’s not bad, yes you are paying a premium for lollies that are normally available in every store however for a small business, $4 for a bag of lollies that you can’t get normally isn’t too bad for me. Rather unfortunately, Berry Bon Bon is tucked 20m down a side street, but do go seek them out for sweets, chocolate, lollies, sauces, juices and delight. Compared to the more garish sweet and ice cream shop on the Main Street, which smells of an industrial sugar factory, BonBon is a classier step away from a simple sweet-high.

Best thing I found was a rainbow themed shelf of cordials, including Sarsparilla! It looked like a magical sweet shop from The Candy Man’s store in Willy Wonka (the Gene Wilder version), from the Easter themed front window to the organised shelves. It was really well thought out and beautifully presented.

Note for Jemma who was working that day, sarsparilla cordial makes root beer when mixed with soda water. I made myself my first rootbeer float...

This shop (now running under a new name) previously was shut down due to health and food safety concerns, the video that surfaced made me sick of the state behind the shop, I ordered online and never received my order, I spoke to gem (the owner) sent her the order number then I got blocked… recently discovered that this has happened to a lot of people. Other videos have surfaced from people opening their deliveries to discover melted candy that took 1 month to receive.
