Bluegum Dubbo by Travellers — Hotel in Dubbo

Just needed one night in Dubbo before moving onto the Zoo Safari for the following night (using a gift voucher for the zoo stay). The Bluegum was exceptional in all areas. The staff via phone (thankyou Ax) and via checkin/out (thankyou Jsm) were courteous and knowledgeable of the area even though they had both only been in Dubbo for a short time (I was told). Was recommended where to go for brekky (The Press) and that was great. So walked in and the bathroom was on the left with a shower and the usually clean towels & accessories. There were robes, slippers, ironing board etc in the cupboard. Two large soft armchairs to watch the large TV screen. Tea, coffee & milk with biscuits & bottled water (complimentary). Bed linen was beautiful with extra deluxe pillows and soft downy bedlinen, plus electric blankets for both of us. Nice. Also an airconditioner which served is well in the cold month of August. Cannot fault anything! Great value for what you get. Didn't use the pool and didn't order their breakfast so no comments. Parking felt safe and on the property. Would definitely come back here next...

From the moment we checked in the overwhelming atmosphere of this place is inviting. The lovely hosts greeted my hubby by name as soon as he arrived, which we both thought charming. Check in was quick and easy.

The rooms themselves as spacious, well appointed, elegant and spotlessly clean. Modern and classy decor.

Our room had a Kind and single bed, which were both plush and comfy.

The large TV has a selection of Foxtel channels and Netflix as well as free to air.

There is a small kitchenette, equipped with plates, cutlery, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave. Our family loved the capsule nespresso machine. It's lovely to wake up to a half decent coffee (and hot chocolate). They also have instant and tea if that's your preference.

The hotel has refillable toiletries (shampoo, shower and hand soap). This is my preference as it's much more sustainable. It all has a delightful sea salt scent that is wonderfully refreshing.

At checkout we were given two bottles of water, which, as we are road tripping, was much appreciated.

We had a great stay at this motel. The beds were really comfortable, and the furnishings had a modern, updated feel that made the room more enjoyable. The location was also super convenient right near plenty of restaurants and shopping options. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. Overall, it was a smooth and comfortable experience.|While my stay was overall very pleasant, there are a few areas that could be improved. The mini bar fridge, while convenient, was fully stocked, leaving little to no space for guests to store their own items especially challenging given the fridge is quite small.||The bathroom could also be more comfortable during colder months. There was no heat lamp, and the bathroom window had an open vent at the top, which made it quite chilly particularly for someone visiting from Queensland in winter.||Lastly, the single bed didn’t have an electric blanket, which would have been a welcome addition during the...
