Normally me and my wife love the food here and highly recommend it. But this time the food was just utterly terrible. The thai beef salad was terrible. The beef was tough and chewy. The salad was old soggy and disgusting looking. My wife had the quiche and salad. Her salad hardly qualified as a salad and was also old and inedible. The quiche was small soggy basic and had been just heated up in the microwave. As we were leaving we caught glares from staff after they grabbed our plates and we informed them it wasnt very good this time.
After leaving an accurate review of bad meals we had here, i was saddened that the cafe took no accountability..see below. There is no reason we would make it up. The location is lovely however the service there has slipped,& I now know that eight of us will...
We absolutely enjoyed our afternoon coffee and sweet treats at Poppyseed cafe! It was awesome to find a cafe which stays open a bit later in the afternoon so we could enjoy a post work catch up in the lovely outdoor courtyard. We all agreed that the coffees were excellent and service was attentive and prompt.
The next day I went back for lunch and ordered the corn fritters and eggs Benedict. The sautéed greens on the eggs Benedict and the pickled ginger on the cabbage and corn fritter made the two brunch classics more interesting and the flavours complemented each other perfectly!
Thanks PoppySeed Cafe for this exciting new cafe...
