The place was a mess. We were a party of 4 and made a simple order of a couple of starters of dahi puri and chilli chicken along with 2 mains of shahi korma and dal with a bread basket, steam rice and a salad of onions and a few green chillies. The salad was supposed to have other veggies but we requested only onion.
It took them 35-40 mins to serve our starters and another 40 min to serve the mains after repeated asking. We had to ask at least 5-6 times and were told that it is 2 mins away. People kept running in and out of kitchen but no food. People before us got their food and there was absolutely no remorse or apology or even explanation.
The puris for the dahi puri was stale, The dry chilli chicken was left over tandoori chicken in some random gravy. The shahi korma was sweet cream with some boiled chicken. The bread and rice were ok. The servings were TINY and the salad was just perhaps half an onion and lemon with a few green chillies.
The food tasted really bad. There was no apology there was no offer of a snack or something to tide us over while we waited and waited. And to top it all we were charged 7 dollars for half an onion salad.
I dunno who’s giving them all these positive reviews but our experience was absolute crap and I would not...
Read moreAn absolutely phenomenal experience for our private party! We hosted an event with over 70 people at Haldi, and the entire team went above and beyond to make it a memorable occasion. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply outstanding. A special shout-out to Chef Bineesh for the delicious dishes that were served piping hot and full of flavour. Our guests couldn’t stop praising the food and the wonderful ambiance of the restaurant. Huge thanks as well to Gudu, and both Raman & Raman, for their incredible hard work and for running that extra mile to ensure everything was perfect. Their effort did not go unnoticed and was key to making our celebration such a great success. We are so happy with our experience and highly recommend Haldi...
Read moreIts always difficult trying somewhere new when you already have a favourite place in town that hasn't let you down but we really wanted to compare the 2 main Indian options & give them a go. The price here is slightly more expensive, the restaurant is dated, its brightly lit with no music just a loud door bell as each guest enters. The staff were busy & seemed rushed but the dishes were tasty enough. We unfortunately received the wrong dish(beer korma after ordering chicken korma) but it tasted fine. We will consider Haldi in the future for take away however based on the lack of customer service & incorrect order im not keen to pay more here than at our local favourite for now. Hopefully they just keep on getting...
