Ocean Pacific Resort — Hotel in Gold Coast City

Stayed on 14th floor. Room 141 was the room at the end and corner. On first day / night whole apartment had condensation (could see on fridge door and also the sliding doors, wet floors (both carpet and kitchen) may have been due to prior cleaning as balcony door was open - airing the place out. The aircon may have also been an issue and not on right setting. We put it on dry and seemed to dry out the place. So first night in small room with 2 single bed (uncomfortable & slapped together) was a nightmare hot/cold due to aircon and also seemed like a breeze was coming from somewhere and could hear street noise more than you would expect usually. Pretty sure window that had safety key lock on it and window was not sealed properly.

2nd night I opted to sleep on couch as I knew being in that other room was going to be rough. Better night sleep alround.

I think the third night I came down with a full blown flu. Coughing, sneezing, headaches, body aches, spewing, nose bleeds, phlegm build up and just very tired to the point I could not bring myself to get of the couch which I had made my bed - and do holiday stuff like shopping, beach etc you name it. Also the weather had been so so bad with days of straight rain.

Anyhow as of writing this at 12.39am and awaiting to be out of here by 3am. Will be a huge relief as I have still not fully got over cold.

I would also read all other reviews across google and other booking apps. Some say don’t get rooms under floor 12. Some say about mould. Some say about the aircon.

This place fully deserves not even a 1 star may as well just be the next hot spot for a pandemic start point.

Sort your shitty rooms out this is not good enough especially after covid. Do better. Don’t even respond unless you are going to give all the 7 days money back to my parents. Because that’s how long you pretty much took from me.

The location of Ocean Pacific Resort is absolutely unbeatable. It’s just a 5mins walk to the Broadbeach South tram and bus station, 10mins to Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, and another 5min to the beach. Everything you need is within walking distance, making it an excellent base for exploring the Gold Coast.

The check-in experience was pleasant, with the staff allowing us to check in early, which we really appreciated. Also, the lift system is impressively efficient—you never have to wait more than two minutes, which is a small but nice convenience.

However, there were some significant downsides to our stay. We stayed 6 nights. While I was aware that the apartment is non-serviced, I was unprepared for the lack of basic amenities. There was no salt and pepper for cooking, no daily replenishment of shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, or rubbish bags. I understand that guests are expected to supply these items themselves, but it would have been helpful to know this clearly upfront. Alternatively, these items can be purchased at reception, but they come with a hefty price tag. Had I known this beforehand, I would have reconsidered booking this property.

Additionally, the condition of the rooms was disappointing. The apartments are clearly dated, with cracks visible on doors and other surfaces. There was mold in the shower, and we found items underneath the beds.

In summary, while the location is excellent and the staff were friendly, the lack of basic provisions, dated rooms, and cleanliness issues detracted from our stay. With better maintenance, attention to detail, and clearer communication about what is provided, this could be a much...

What a terrible and disappointing stay. Firstly as you enter there is an overpowering smell once you enter reception, the apartment we stayed was truly disappointing. The room smelt of mould and the air conditioning did not work correctly. Ve rrad previous reviews about the same issue on other sites, I reported to reception lady on 30th July. The woman at counter was extremely rude and dismissive. I had a few other issues needing help with and the same lady previous day addressed our requests with a look of being discusted, I will be making a formal complaint about her service and horrible attitude, The other office staff were also unfriendly, most of the time they be talking to local residents , a very unprofessional look, the ocean pacific broadbeach is very untidy and not cleaned well, was told an ocean view but could just see a glimpse between trees, the incredibly loud street noise is constant, Clearly no double glased windows, lots of rowdy locals in loud cars, on an evening walk I noticed that a big development is getting built soon infront of the building so if you like peace and quiet I suggest looking else where, An extremely disappointing stay with extremely rude staff, would definitely not recommend this complex.
