Lovely clean rooms with great air-conditioning, and comfortable beds, linen and towels provided. Decent wi-fi (we brought our chromecast and had no issues setting up). Nice little selection of tea and coffee provided, big fridge, kitchen with all you need (You'll need to bring your own food of course, and extra toilet paper, etc if you're having a longer stay like us, though some toilet paper is provided!) Staff are lovely and friendly, and very helpful. The beach is 30 seconds away, and there's a spa, indoor and outdoor pool as well for when the UV is too high. Rooms have a washing machine & dryer and dishwasher! Would absolutely recommend Pelican Sands, and if we are ever up here again we'd stay here. Balcony doors in the kids room can be key locked which provided great peace of mind.

Don't book Unit 901. What a huge disappointment, very below-par. We booked what we were told was a premium apartment but when we got here, there are scratches, dents on furniture and walls, the ensuite is terrible not even a proper shower. It hasn't been updated since the 70's/80s. I booked a premium to take our Mum's away for a bit of luxury, what we got is left overs from a scratch and dent sale. The owners should be ashamed of themselves for letting a unit with a fantastic view get so rundown. We have stayed here previously and the other units were comfortable, well appointed and stylish, but not this one. Do yourself a favour make sure you don't book 901.

This place is amazing. Dana was exceptional when helping myself and my family’s stay with them for our beach wedding. My family and I had 6 rooms and every one of us loved the entire resort. Everything we needed Dana was just a phone call away. The rooms are beautiful and honestly felt like home for me. And the views were just as amazing as well. Literally just a few meters away from the beach. The airport 5 mins away is super convenient for overseas travellers. Shops and restaurants just a stone throw away. Couldn’t fault Dana and Pelican Sands at all.

As an ex travel agent, I often drive myself crazy trying to find the best deal and best accomodation within our budget as a family of 5, I can spend days doing this, but also know that the best deal isn’t always the best experience, so I go on reviews and affordability. We only live 15 minutes drive from this resort, but often passed by on family walks, and wanted to stay on the beach with ocean views. I normally like to do it all online, but after reading the reviews about the management Dana and Mark being so nice, I felt comfortable calling and explaining wanted I was looking for, Dana was exceptional and I explained my vision of our break away and she said “yes I have the place for you that just came available” it’s like she knew me personally, I am not always easy to please when it comes to accomodation, but it’s absolutely amazing, views from all rooms of the ocean, so spacious, comfortable and clean, and it didn’t break the bank, my husband had no idea what I had booked and I told him it was a 3 star, when we checked in to our room he said wow only a 3 star that’s surprising. For us it has been a 5 star experience, you can’t beat amazing friendly service from people who truly care about you enjoying your stay, and put so much effort in to ensuring you have a great stay. We are in room 702 and you may find it free if I haven’t booked it out indefinitely ha ha. A must when in the area is to go a cafe called Niche & Co. You...

The location is great for a young family, very quiet beach, the flagged areas are a 10 minute walk either North or South. There is a little convenience store 2 doors down which has most things you would need. If looking for a breakfast or dinner out you would need to head further away towards either Kirra or Tugun. |The Room on the 8th floor was big enough for 4 adults and a toddler and having the elevator helped to unload and load luggage. The pool, spa, plunge pool and bbq area were clean. The unit was very tired and badly in need of a refurb, don't think it has been touched since originally built. The single bed in second room was broken, we told management the next day but nothing was offered to replace the bed base so adult daughter ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Not a good option for the price we paid for accommodation. They did exchange the chair on the balcony that was broken. The overall cleanliness of the unit was good except under the lounges which didn't get vacumned. One of the keys didn't work and advised them but they never followed up we didn't want to keep bothering them over Christmas. |We would stay again but would check which unit was booking. |Thanks Leslie for a good family holiday on...

The positive: Great location on the beach, fantastic views, pay tv, spacious unit, good lounge and kitchen. Not a fabric lounge which is great in units. Great spa in the room.||||The pool is DEEP! So take a floatie for your kids and yourself unless you are 6 foot tall. It is pretty much a big Lap plunge pool. Great for a swim after the beach.||||Some things to note:||||No AC in the rooms we had so they become absolute saunas as you can't open the windows due to the noise. Not to mention safety if you have kids. ||||No shower in the ensuite. There is a spa which is good but the shower is in the laundry/bathroom. Was a little strange. But a spa is great to also have.||||The games room could do with a couple of extra things. Maybe a pin ball, air hockey or arcade machine. It was a very clean space.||||The rooms was a little tired but that is expected in the area.||||Be great to have AC and a TV in the main room for the parents. That would be a treat.||||We would come back. We will be checking to see if a room has AC first. Great family getaway. On the beach and make sure you get a...
