Beachmere Caravan Park — Hotel in Greater Brisbane

We booked in by phone for 2 nights, powered plot. $36.50 per night 2 people. Tania was very, very pleasant and helpful. When we arrived checking in was very quick & simple. We were given a site map with our plot clearly marked and the code for the facilities, including free WiFi.that actually works. Nigel was there to greet us and guide us to our plot. The park is small and everyone was friendly. It is a quiet place no loud music etc. Pets are not allowed. The camp kitchen has basic equipment and is very clean. The laundry room is fully equipped $4 to use the washing machine. The toilet & shower block are super clean, the best I’ve used. The showers are great, plenty of hanging space for towels & clothes. There’s a few little shops about a 5 minute walk.The lady in Peel & Pantry is lovely and things are reasonably priced. There’s an eating place and a lovely cafe across from the site, once again everyone was very welcoming. There’s a beach about a 3 minute walk from the caravan park. We did a nice beach walk and saw thousands of light blue soldier crabs, it was an amazing thing to see. Tania & Nigel are great hosts and take pride in the caravan park.Would we stay there again? I found the Beachmere Caravan Park to be absolutely fantastic. The management & caretakers Sandra & Graham are very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating, understanding & nice people. They even help each caravan driver to position their van onto their site. Having an extra set of eyes that understands caravans when maneuvering a caravan really helps. I'm relatively new to caravaning so I really appreciated this. The park is absolutely beautiful. Spacious, quiet, clean, beautifully landscaped, centrally located in Beachmere. The facilities are very convienent. It's a short walk to the shops. There's a nice park next to the caravan park. The bus stop is just across the nice park from the caravan park too. The park looks like a lovely spot however we had a very unpleasant incident with the lady manager. We arrived for 2 nights in our van and as the entrance was blocked entered on the open side on right. The manager arrived and berated us for parking there. We apologised and she kept on at us and was so rude and unpleasant. I went to pay for the 2nd night and told her she was being very unpleasant and having travelled all around Qld in our van people were usually friendly and pleasant. I said we would perhaps just stay the 1 night rather than 2 as it was very unpleasant- she said “we will see about that even” We took her advice and got a refund and left.
