Silver Spoon Beachmere — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silver Spoon with my family, and I must say, the experience left me saying, "WOW!" From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the most wonderful staff who went above and beyond to make our evening special.

Our family includes our eldest daughter, who has special needs and requires a special stroller. The staff not only made extra room for us to accommodate her comfortably but also took the time to interact with her and make her feel included, despite her being non-verbal. This level of care and consideration truly touched our hearts and set the tone for the entire evening.

Now, let's talk about the food. It was nothing short of amazing! The standout for me was the Pork Belly, which was cooked to perfection and paired perfectly with a couple of refreshing Caprioskas. The flavours were exceptional, and each bite was a delightful experience for the taste buds.

The warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with the impeccable service, made our visit to Silver Spoon truly memorable. The staff's kindness and attentiveness left a lasting impression on our family, and we can't thank them enough for their exceptional hospitality.

This isn't a Cafe. It's a five star restaurant masquerading as a Cafe.

That being said it is indeed a Cafe and Silver Spoon have nailed it with both aesthetic and atmosphere. A collection of spoons from a around the world adorn the walls and an antique grand piano sits in the corner, contributing to the quaint Cafe aesthetic. It's pet friendly so there are often fur babies present in the outdoor dining area adding to the very apparent community driven atmosphere. We've been here a few times over the last few years and they just seem to get better each time.

We had a shared mixed menu with its standouts being the juicy pork belly, the absolute slab of charred rib eye fillet (bone in and med rare) that was seasoned beautifully with rock salt and the fennel and radish salad. Of note was the compressed potato and the four sauces that came with the meat, chimi churri probably the best.

There is a high level of technique in their food. I'm actually struggling to call this place a Cafe. If it is, it's the best I've ever been to. If it's a restaurant it's up there with the best also.

Absolute rip-off. We ordered 6 dishes: Caesar Salad and an egg added on for $30, came out as stiff cold quarter chicken breast with 4x cos lettuce leave and egg sauce and cold bacon bits. 2/10 . Waffle was one waffle cut in half with ice cream and chocolate sauce. 2/10 . Bruschetta was one small piece of bread with avocado mashed on top and not much else plus pomegranate sprinkles. 3/10 . Okki was flat and burnt with some charred corn kernels on side. 4/10 . Steak sandwich. Mediocre 5/10 . Kids chicken and chips. Just order this. Best value for money and the chicken salt had the most flavour of the entire table. . Don’t go to the toilet as you will find the back door of the kitchen litter with HEAPS of cigarette butts and the staff hosing out the garbage bins on you path. . Absolutely disgraceful food.
