This was the first time I've dined at the Postmaster Hotel. I chose it for a family get-together because of its location and because the reviews were good. We were there for Sunday lunch and they were reasonably busy which was a good sign. The service was very good and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Everyone on our table enjoyed their meals except for 2 of us who ordered the grain salad. This was unfortunately quite bland and uninspiring, even with added chicken. However the parmas, schnitzels and the crispy skin barramundi looked great and, I'm told, tasted great. They were very generous serves. All in all, the Postmaster was a good choice for us and we'd go again. We were a large group so we especially liked the fact that you order and pay for your own food at the bar. Saves headaches later when trying to divvy up the bill! The one thing that was problematic was that there was no disabled access and the toilets were down a long flight of stairs. Not good for anyone with strength/hip/knee issues. Oh, one more thing....the lemon tart...

Really nice suburban pub in Kew, where we wanted to try 'Steak Night.' We were a 'walk-in' as they don't take bookings for under 5 people, which is fine; and, we had no issue although the place was very busy for a Monday night.

Order at the bar or via the app on the table - straightforward. We had the Steak Nite Special ($29) which was a 220g eye fillet, with broccolini and chips with your choice of sauce. They were beautiful cuts of meat cooked medium rare perfectly, and the mushroom sauce was delicious and the hot English mustard packed a punch. We also ordered a cos salad ($10) which was refreshing and full of flavour with the vinaigrette.

Two glasses of wine: a Tellurian Evo shiraz ($15), and an il Fumo sangiovese at ($14) we thought was very reasonable.

Beautiful steak, great value at $97 all up for two, good service at a nice hotel. We will go back; and maybe try one of the other special nights as well, but Monday Steak Night is marked on our...

I have a lot meetings here and really enjoy this place it has a wide range of food to cater for everyone, so any client i take here for a meeting we start of with a coffee then we go into lunch, the don't rush you out the door like a lot of other cafes.its not loud we can hear our self's.salads are great here.very reasonably price when your taking out clients.Coffee is always spot on, not luke warm

i don't live in the area but its a very convenient /central area to meet clients that come from all areas.

I have started to do all my shopping here as well i go to Toscanos for my fruit & vegetables, Leos for my Mediterranean food "WOW" what a place, Bakery in kew very friendly & always good bread & i reckon this is the only place that will make you a fresh sandwich every single time u go in, Angela at Angela's Mane Attraction for my haircut & wax very professional & skilled hairdresser. now i'm even using the solicitors in...

Went here yesterday, customer service was really good with friendly staff. However, the food was not up too standard. I had ordered 2 of the eye fillets on the Monday $29 steak night, when I had received the meals on both plates the steak was tiny and incredibly dry and chewy, making it incredibly hard to eat. As I was about to leave, I had noticed that the table next to me who had ordered the exact same thing had nice big juicy eye fillets, which I found quite unfair that they got a delicious meal while mine was as if eaten leftovers that were microwaved. Furthermore I'd like to state I'm very disappointed with the meal I'd received. What went from a nice night to go out and enjoy a good meal, had left me with sadness and feeling sick to my stomach. I will not be returning here in future. I have attached photo's of the meat received.

I had had a good experience two years back and finally got the chance to bring my husband for dinner on the 27th. I'm so happy that the Postmaster Hotel has managed to remain consistent with their food offerings. Service was warm, and despite it being a full house, the smiles never faded. Super grateful for your efforts, guys. If you are just a party of two, go early to get the best options for seats. The front section is definitely 'prettier' and not as noisy. We will definitely be back to enjoy the perfectly executed baramundi and sinfully delicious sticky date pudding. I had the cauliflower risotto on my first visit, which I liked better than the chicken risotto (a little too salty for our personal taste and the chicken was dry). Overall, a satisfying meal!

Three of us popped in for a quick meal on Monday night and thankfully they're open when most restaurants are closed. They were fairly busy and it was good to see that a few tables were cleared and re-used. Ordering is easy via QR or simply at the bar. Our starters arrived but no plates or cutlery on the table and we had to ask for them. I had the eye fillet steak (Mondays special) and it was perfect. The capricciosa pizza was surprisingly good but the grain salad was missing a little flavour and bland. The staff were friendly and helpful except l one that needs to learn to smile and pretent she's enjoying her work.
