Snow Ski Apartments — Hotel in Northern Victoria Region

Apartment 33 @ Snow Ski Apartments ||||Pros: ||- Good location ||- Clean ||- Warm and comfortable ||- New kitchen||||CONS: MANAGEMENT! ||- When we arrived, there was a slight crack on the dining room table. Due to being first time apartment renters and young students, we forgot to report it ||- When we checked out 2 days later, the owners deducted $1000 from our bond for the crack which WE DID NOT CAUSE ||- I understand that we didn't report it in the first place so we are held liable for that damage that was already there ||- However, a deduction of $1000 for a crack on what seems to be a $300~ table seems OVERPRICED to me ||- Even though we had photographic evidence that we did not cause the crack, the owners still deducted the money ||- A mutual agreement between the two parties would have been a way better option! ||- We are students as well so that large sum of money is difficult for us to pay off ||- I just hope this confusion can be sorted out and that no one has to experience this whilst staying at Snow...

Felt so bad and suck, ruined my holiday due to the staffs in snow ski apartments and I won’t go there again. The deposit was 1500 dollars and we didn’t damage anything in the accommodation, but they deducted 1000 dollars and then called us said ‘ we deducted yr deposit 1000 dollars because u damage the table’. The fact is, the table was damaged before we checked in and we’ve drove 5 hours from Melbourne city to snow ski apartment, we were so tired and didn’t report the table was damaged immediately. However, they can’t deducted 1000 dollars before told us. It was unreasonable that they took us 1000 dollars. When we called the manager at snow ski apartment back and said if we have evidence to provide we never damage the table will you pay back 1000 dollars? They just hung up the phone and nobody answer the phone although we called back twice. We get angry and report to the police.
