This is an older style alpine lodge. You're welcomed by a roaring fire as you enter. The entire lodge is cozy, warm and very comfortable. The rooms are big enough with lots of storage. The ski and drying rooms are huge, and your gear is guaranteed to be dry the next morning.
It is conveniently located near shuttle stop 2, which is a very short walk up from the lodge. Then you can ski down to Hayley's. The village return trail will take you right back to the front door.
But of course, the most amazing thing about the lodge is the people. Claire and Al have been managing and providing consistently 5-star quality food for 15 years. Not much beats coming home after a day on the slopes, a hot shower, and rocking up to a 3 course dinner with good conversations. The children are also well looked after with their favorite foods at an earlier sitting, then going upstairs to the games and TV rooms. It's no surprise the guests are often returning families.
