I’ve been coming up to Falls since I was a toddler and no matter where I’m staying, be it at QT or the village bowl, I’ll always make the trek to the Frying Pan Inn either by foot or by skis. The food is fantastic and I highly rate the buffalo wings (even if the prices make my bank account cry a little). I went with my family the other night, and my dad and uncle ordered a scotch fillet and porterhouse steak, respectively. Unfortunately, our waitress did not know the difference. She served the scotch fillet and put it right in front of my dad, but the plate barely touched the table before she rushed it back to the window. My dad got up to get some drinks. She returned, and said it was the porterhouse. We insisted no, that is the scotch and she said, “you ordered two porterhouses.” I knew this to not be true since I ordered the scotch fillet myself. But she insisted the plate was the porterhouse so we passed it to my uncle who ordered the porterhouse. He got about halfway through before the plate of the actual porterhouse was delivered, and we were once again told that the first plate was the scotch and we were right. Small mishap, and a bit inconvenient, but the rest of the food arrived to the table fine. I ended up asking for the manager to explain the situation, and we got a free pint for the inconvenience which to me is great service! I don’t think the waitress should be reprimanded for an honest mistake, but I appreciate the manager’s hospitality and willingness to resolve the situation with welcoming enthusiasm. I really appreciated it given how awkward it is to explain that a mistake was made. Thank you guys again!! We enjoyed drinks there for the rest of the night, as well as a couple games of pool. My only recommendation is maybe to have staff prepare cutlery beforehand. I know this is available for patrons to retrieve, but having the basics all set up really helps make a difference and just gives that slight bit extra of a great experience! But either way, great...

Had pork ribs which fell off the bone and was polished off in seconds by the family. Lamb backstrap was a smidge dry but still delish. Toasted ham and brie cheese baguette was good.
The whole ordering system is still a bit messed up. If you want to order cafe food you gotta order up top at the cafe, if you want pub food you've got to scan QR code. If you want cold beverages you go downstairs BUT if you want hot chocolate you gotta order at cafe. Very convoluted. But food is YUM. The chef with awesome hat smiles and made me so happy! 🥰
13th July: Came to Frying Pan Inn for the first time, between lunch/dinner at around 3:30pm. It was a bit confusing trying to figure out where to order some snacks and where to get the hot chocolate (different tills within the building). I also learnt after trying to order at the till that I can't order food (at the bar) without providing a table number, which caused extra walking around the complex back to my table. This was difficult as I was sore from riding/falling. You can also order food at the table via a QR, which I'm not a fan of.
Chips and hot chocolate was nice. Pick up hot chocolate at the till and hot chips got delivered to the table...
Read moreBooked a table for 8 people a few days prior as we had heard good things about this place, arrived on time for our table to not yet be ready. Took about 5 mins to organise, we were okay with this. We got taken to our table for it to be a random table placed down with the pool tables next to a fire place which wasn't on so the area was cold and breezy. Pool table players had to keep checking they weren't hitting us as we were placed so close to them. Easy to order, just use QR code on table. First dish comes out, no cutlery. We asked twice and 15 mins later no cutlery had arrived. One persons drink arrived, still no cutlery. We finally had an annoyed waitress bring us some cutlery with no apology or anything just dumped a bucket on the table and walked off. Rest of the meals and drinks arrived (45min wait for drinks) and we had a lovely waitress with dreadlocks apologise and double check we had everything. Thankfully food was nice. We were debating whether it was worth getting dessert or not but ended up leaving pretty quick as we were starting to getting darts & pool cubes to our head and it was becoming pretty chilly. Walked past a few waitresses on the way out, there was no acknowledgement or cya later. We won't...
