We were really disappointed with our experience at The Chophouse. Despite booking weeks in advance and confirming the reservation twiceâonce by phone and once via emailâthe restaurant was clearly unprepared for our group. It was overcrowded, the service was painfully slow, and although the two waitresses worked incredibly hard under pressure, they were overwhelmed by the number of guests.
By 7pm, nearly 90% of the menu options had sold out, leaving us with very limited choices. The few dishes that were available were inconsistent in quality. We waited over an hour and a half for our meals, and unfortunately, most were returned due to poor quality (though the steak and prawns were good).

No one had warned us we were on a time limit at time of booking or during the meal and there is nothing on the website saying âbooking are 90 minsâ. Very disappointing as were a party of 9, spent close to $500 and we were rushed out without warning or a âcan we get you something else?â or âwe do have another party with a reservation so would you like to order something before you leave?â The blonde waitress as we left needs an attitude change as well and was very rude when we asked about seating duration as we were all shocked to be forced out - she at NO TIME when serving us mentioned a time limit.    Read moreWaited 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order only to be told there was only 1 item on the main meal section remaining.During this time more people were coming in ( to be told the same thing I assume ) and turned around and left.We ordered a mish mash of what was actually left on the menu some of which were not available anymore by the time the waitress had got back to the kitchen, âmains â arrived before the starter,on the whole very Faulty Towers! We have been before in winter several times and it has been great,but tonight was very poor. Full credit to our waitress though, Iâve never heard so many apologies in such a short time and did what she could with what she had.
