Beach Park Tourist Caravan Park — Hotel in Phillip Island

Upon arrival we were disappointed with the service. We stood waiting for some time before we were even acknowledged. Our trip worsened when we saw our Camp site which was small, tents on top of one another, damp and facilities old. Camp site we booked was right behind a weathered wooden retaining wall which supported large well established trees which overhung the tent site. Grass was worn down and almost muddy. We had some strong winds the day prior to our arrival and this caused us to be concerned about safety of the site, especially given the facilities didn't look well maintained and run down. We approached management to see if they could assist with another site or even upgrade to a cabin as we needed a place to stay given we had driven some distance. They were easily irritated by the interruption and made little atempt to even hear our concern. We decided it was best for us to leave and cancelled our reservation. Another family who arrived shortly after us also had the same concerns and decided they would do the same. The male owner became quiet confrontational by the loss of these bookings and started to throw his weight around, making remarks and pressuring us and the other family off the property. He went so far as to follow us down the street in an attempt to supervise our movements as the two families joined to discuss the event that had just taken place. We were both gobslapped to say the least. He continued his psychotic behaviour by standing in the street, glaring at us, folding his arms as though to provoke an arguement. I was not sure what his intention was but this behaviour was definately not that of a normal person and was best we left before the situation worsened. Shocked! I am disgusted in the service provided. Every step of the booking was a catastrophe! I booked over the phone initially and the c.c provided declined but was not notified until months after when I rang to find out why i had not received confirmation, then when i rang to confirm how much we had owing i was told we did not have a booking and nothing was coming up under the name, ( it was because they had the wrong name and contact number down for me ) i had to quote my recepit number for them to actually find the booking, thought i had sorted all the mess out but when i arrived i was asked " are you sure it is this caravan park " as they YET AGAIN could not find the booking. This was the first of a number of colossal disapointments from this park.

the only thing we enjoyed from out stay at Beach Park Caravan tourist park was the heated pool although it needed a clean, What a suprise!!

ALL IN ALL I WAS AWFULLY DISGUSTED AT THE AUDACITY OF STAFF AT THIS PARK. WHAT...

Very old and tired looking park. NO DUMP POINT. We were told to tip our toilet cassette contents down the same drain as our grey water hose or in the public amenities, not nice. The whole park could do with a good clean up, the trees need trimming, there’s a difference between shady foliage and being overgrown. We were parked up in the top middle section which meant we had dust blowing over our van and car constantly from people driving in and out. I think down the bottom near the pool or over the back would be better sites. I put about $15 into the one and only dryer in the laundry then called the office to ask what the go was as it remained cold and my washing wet after such a long time; the manager came over and said it was faulty and he had to stick a pencil into a hole at the front to get it to work, no offer to reimburse me for my money lost. They need to fix this or at least put a sign up explaining it to visitors. The park is in a good location and has a heated pool, nice staff and a good low weekly rate so it’s...
