This place is very welcoming and the rooms are nice they also have shared cabins for any family trips that sleep 4 people. Very cheap accommodation for the area aswell. Across the road is a nice relaxed tavern with Thai food and a Australian menu aswell. Tiffin street is where you will want to park if driving a truck is apart of your travel plans. The management is friendly/easy going they even give you a little map so you don't get lost (you don't need it but it's nice to have) Woolworths is literally up the road for any shopping needs you and your family may have. There is a outdoor space with tables under a sheltered area so weather doesn't matter, there is a working BBQ under the roof of the area aswell it has gas attached to it so its all good to be able to cook up a feed for yourself and others. There is plenty of accommodation in and around Roma But I do believe that Roma Aussie Tourist park is by far the best bang for your buck, I honestly say you can't go wrong staying here. if you have a caravan there is a caravan park just across the road owned by the same people its a great small town just a little hot some days 🤣😂

Unfortunately similar to another review the rooms look like they havent been cleaned in awhile. When my husband went for a shower there was soap stuck to the wall. Lolly wrappers on the floor and stickers from a kmart purchase. Very disappointing. Happy to stay in a budget cabin as thats what it is but cleanliness should be met. Also nothing to say we had to check in at the Big Rig so had to drive there to find the person who checks people in had nipped out for a few minutes while we and others were standing out in the hot sun waiting to check in. Would not recommend.

The cabin is very small but there is everything i needed, it was reasonably clean, the interior is very modern, there is a flat screen TV, air conditioning nad glass shower cubicle, only the smell was weird.

If you like staying in a run down dirty workers hut this is the place for you. I would not recommend it for a late / mid 60s husband and wife.||After travelling for several weeks in Qld we tried to check in and were met with a sign saying go to another place.||After finding the new reception we were met with a belligerent unabliging person and "oh we changed your room". They misread our original 2 night booking. We had booked 12 months out and paid for one night at the time.|| "You are now in a workers hut out the back." ||A very small "donga like" dirty room. Broken off the Tracks unopenable wardrobe. Dirty bedspread worn floor. Smelly shower. Dusty floors. Noisy air-conditioner.||We came back after tea to sea 30 plus fluoro workers eating their dinner, drinking and smoking. Not unusual behaviour for a workers camp. ||After stepping over the half dozen empty beer cans and negotiating the chain smoking unabligibing worker sitting on the entry steps talking on the on the phone we proceeded to the room.||The worst night sleep in many many years. Noisy airconditioner stomping workers coming and going.||After being unable to book the train to Brisbane a day early and not being able to find suitable alternate accommodation my wife contacted reception hoping to get a different person who was more receptive.||After my wife expressed her concerns in a ditressed manner the employee advised we should not have been put there in the first place and us booking on line was the issue.|| Apparently booking and paying for one night's accommodation 12 months in advance with a request for a non disabled room was our fault hence the room change. The disabled rooms usually have wet floor issues after a shower and are slippery and dangerous particularly as you get older. I had previously slipped over in one on holiday even after using all the towels to try and dry the floor without success.||The belligerent reception member even commented how dangerous it was as a customer the week before said" If you are not disabled going in you will be coming out".||Go figure.||After paying an $11.00 fee we were moved into a cabin. || I have never booked a restaurant for the same value meal and paid 12 months up front. This seems to be the current "hospitality"trend. Book and pay for something you haven't got and might not get. ||When they provide a poor and inadequate service the common answer is "sorry we didn't meet YOUR" expectations as though it is our fault they can't provide a reasonable facility and level of service.||I don't know how you can advertise this as a "Tourist" park when it is just a dirty run down workers camp.||If you have the option to...

We stayed just one night at the Aussie tourist park, and to be honest that was one night too many.

We’d had a long hot drive to get there including a 3 hour hike at a National Park on the way and just wanted a lovely shower and to relax. We had to check in over the road at the Big Rig caravan park and duly drove back over to our cabin, which from the outside looked modern and inviting.

Imagine our disappointment when we got inside. What was immediately obvious was that it was very dusty, especially the floor on which there was a pair of tracksuit bottoms left behind from a previous occupant. The bathroom floor had several strands of long dark hair near the shower and lots of debris behind the door. It clearly had not been cleaned.

The bedding was made up well with clean crisp sheets.

On reporting our disappointment to the managers their initial response was that it had been cleaned earlier. There was no apology for the fact that it was below standard, no offer to come and inspect it, and no offer of compensation. Their only response was to say they would speak to the cleaners about it.

To add insult to injury the cleaning team arrived at the cabin the following day at 9am whilst we were still in bed. Why they couldn’t have waited until 10 am when we had left, goodness only knows.

The cabin is one of four designed for occupants with disability (although we don’t have any disabilities and didn’t request this sort of accommodation) and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for that. The bathroom is lovely and spacious and more of a wet room but it’s fully tiled in marble/granite. Any water on that floor would turn it immediately into an ice rink and therefore, in my opinion, unsuitable for any wet room.

Most electrical sockets were accessible, and there were plenty by the bed where a lamp would have been invaluable. When wanting to go to sleep, with a main light switch right by the door, it was necessary to find your way back to bed in complete darkness.

In addition the kettle wasn’t working.

Wouldn’t recommend this...

We paid for “Standard Studio, Non-smoking, Balcony (RATP – Studio)" @ $95.||There was no wifi (advertised as “free wifi to the room” however its only available in the office).||There was no balcony (advertised as “Private balcony”- there's only a common area walkway with no seating).||Our tiny room (3.5m x 3m) was provisioned with a double bed, 1 tattered, wobberly office chair (the only seat in room), 1 small study desk which is the ONLY flat surface to put your things on. There was no space for luggage (ex on floor -tripping hazard)||The TV had no reception. (although it was advertised as having “cable channels”)||The fridge is a drink fridge only so no ice or ice maker and it leaked water and it has a blue fridge light internally which glows through the glass door all night illuminating room. The combined noise from both the fridge and the air con means a peaceful sleep is difficult.||The shower door didn’t close so bathroom floor gets soaked during showering and the shower was coming away from the wall (and didn’t fully walk properly anyway)||Only ventilation through front door as there was no windows.||There were no extra pillows and no complimentary soap, shampoo, conditioner etc in shower. ||Parking is too far from room and lighting at night (from parking to the rooms) is pathetic.||I would have demanded a full refund in the morning but the office was unmanned at 9:00 am when...
