I was so disappointed by my stay here and so have no choice but to echo all the other bad reviews of this place. Ultimately, DO NOT stay here. Where to begin... from the moment I walked in, the reception area stunk of cigarettes so much so that my clothes then smelt of tobacco. When I then got to my room, supposedly a 'superior studio' I was not at all impressed - it was dark, dingy and in need of a big makeover. The only window faced into the hallway with a solid brick wall in front of it meaning no natural light could get into the room. The lighting that I had to then rely on was poor - the main light was super dim and all the switches were the opposite side of the room so you had to fumble your way through the darkness when first entering to turn the light on. There was then a door off to the side that led into next door's room which, despite being locked, was very disconcerting. I had such a terrible night sleep each night as the walls were so thin (and there was a gap under the main door) so you could hear everything, including the tradies banging around and talking loudly working on the room next door EVERY morning. Then there was the bed, which was on wheels so it moved every time I turned over at night. The mattress had a massive rip and spring poking out of it which I constantly caught myself on. The pillows were so soft that they made my neck and back ache. There were stains on the net curtains and the drains in the bathroom reeked - something I raised with reception but they did nothing about. The room was so grubby that then a cockroach appeared! I then spent an hour trying to get it out which I shouldn't have had to do... The pool was way smaller than it looks in the photo and very dirty/murky looking so dared not swim in it. The 'restaurant' on the first floor remained shut every time I walked past it (not that I would want to go in anyway). When I went a walk around the complex I bumped into one of the residents who was a blokes clearly high/drunk and shouting his head off. On the same walk I came across dog sh*t on pathway on the 1sr floor. I was staggered by the fact that this place is owned by the same Central Apartment group who owned the Central Plaza Hotel in Cairns - a beautiful establishment that I thoroughly enjoyed staying at 6 weeks prior! The only good thing was that I had somewhere to park my car - in the secure carpark in the basement which I appreciated. For $1680 for 10 nights ($168/night) it was absolutely not worth the money nor the 4-star rating. I highly suggest spending that same amount elsewhere in the region such as Pelican Waters resort for the same price but actually offering the 4-star experience. I predict the management will just provide the same platitudes in their response like they have done to all the other bad reviews left there but still do NOTHING to make any actual changes to this place as they clearly couldn't care less about customer feedback. I hope this place gets shut down unless they are willing to make some radical changes!

It was a last-minute accommodation , but my husband and I were pleased with what we had. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The price was good , the room was clean and spacious . It was relaxing , quiet and enjoyable. Our grandchildren had a wonderful time in the pool area when they visited . BBQ and the pool area were clean. It's a shame the restaurant is no longer running , I'm sure it would bring more value to the place ... breakfast , lunch and dinner. We didn't mind the walk to the currimundi shopping centre, Woolies Maccs Red Rooster , Fish and Chips and bottle shop. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Do not stay here. This hotel is closer to a cheap motel than it is a "4.5 star hotel"

Where do I begin: I travelled here for work and could not be more disappointed. Upon arrival, my room stunk of bleach, a smell which permeated throughout the night. The wifi barely worked. The shower pressure was terrible and the sink in the bathroom is either poorly installed or broken as water is guaranteed to soak you every time you use it, oh also theres no bathroom fan so shower moisture lingers throughout the day. The lock on the door was broken. The bed was extremely cheap and hard.

But perhaps the worst part was how noisy it is. My room was on the ground floor near the entrance to the main area, and each morning I failed to sleep past 6am as a result of the noise occurring with guests coming or leaving and/or other noise like the nearby road and birds outside. In addition, and perhaps more infuriatingly, the walls between the rooms are paper thin. Luckily I had no one in the room next to me until my final morning, where I woke up as a result of a family of (I assume) 4 or 5 were moving into the room next to mine. I assure no exaggeration when I say I could hear every conversation word for word, and its not like they were speaking above normal indoor level. This made sleeping very difficult, paired with the fact that the blinds are too small and too thin to properly cover the large window, meaning that the early QLD sun fills the room as soon as it rises.

In addition, the hotel is not near anywhere to eat, meaning ubers were needed each morning and night to get food.

This is by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and will ensure my company does not book with them ever again. Reading the other reviews, it seems like a lot of these issues have been brought to the attention of the staff, but clearly, they are reluctant to do...

If I could leave a 0 rating I would DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Reception and the lift smelt like cigarettes and weed Disabled parking spots were always taken by residents who were too lazy to use their own parking Room was not as pictured, phots online are photoshopped Room smelt very strongly of bleach which caused me to have asthma and my husband and I both extreme headaches the blockout curtains were too small for the 1 window in the room The noise throughout the night and early morning felt like we had people in our room with us at 2am, 3:30am, 6am and again at 7am The extremely small outdoor area was dirty and as people walked past our room they stopped to look at us over the wall (it was a ground floor room with a walled outdoor area) The bathroom has no exhaust so the room was just always had a damp feeling after showers The restaurant was closed by the looks of it for good we weren’t informed the lights right outside out one and only window with blockout curtains that were too small were on 24hrs and shone into the room There is a sign telling you to wash your dishes but you had the choice of using the bathroom sink or a bucket they supplied and water as they didn’t give you dish washing liquid or anything to wash them with (we did not use anything) We were given one towel each and notice was given via email that they would not be giving us any extra towels during our stay. WORST PLACE I’VE EVER STAYED!!! I will never stay here again and please do not even reply to my review with your scripted we are sorry we all know you don’t care about the property or the people who stay there, you should be ashamed...
