Grahame Stewart Park — Attraction in Sunshine Coast Regional

Beautiful and very large enclosed park for young children. Some shade provided, with shade cloth over some play areas. Many trees around, although some are still small in height (Jan 2021).

• Barbecues and tables undercover. BBQs were spotless (hope visitors keep it that way!). • Toilets are in the enclosed area. • Large bike path for young riders, but mostly in the open. • Flying fox / zip line • Swings and climbing ropes under shade cloth • Large sandpit and play area with equipment and swings for the very young, shaded by trees

Fantastic spaced out playground, keeps the kids amused for hours. No big slides but it has lots of swings options, flying foxes and a smaller kids section. What sets the park apart from the others is: fully fenced, has a large scooter/bike looping path, space for a kick with the ball, great gazebos with BBQ's and bench tables that is frequently used for Birthday parties, basket ball court, drinking fountain, a large dog park next door, lots of seating around the park, the toilet block is always clean and stocked and lots of grass to set up your picnic blanket and listen to...

We love this park. Loads to do and regular upgrades. HOWEVER- why no toilets?! Walking to the dodgy cricket ground toot is difficult when you have multiple children to watch. I think it’s odd that they keep pouring money into this park but have neglected to include a toilet block. The park could do with some more shaded seats and tables too. It’s very busy on weekends and not many shaded seating areas (the grass is often too soggy under the trees to sit on). Other than these two issues it’s great.
