Disgusting, undercooked pizza, body shaming comments from owner and bad attitude from store Manager...... best pizza on Sunshine Coast....questionable, to say the least, and after our experience, understandable it hasn't been awarded to them for the last 3 years.
Ordered 3 large pizzas, delivered for a total of $79, 45 minute wait, so you would expect 3 large pizza's to turn up. Only 2 large and 1 medium arrived. Asked the delivery guy, why only 2 large and 1 med, he had no idea but hung around looking for a tip. I think not.
Called the store, spoke to manager who advised the gluten free is $4 extra and only available in medium. that is not a problem, if you know about it. Asked why I wasn't told this when ordering, response " what do you expect me to do about that?" Nice one, missed the class on customer service, evidently.
Surely speaking to the owner, Joe, would provide some courtesy for an outlay of $79.... but no, Joe told me that they charge $4 extra for gluten free, as that is what they pay for it...so the bases aren't made in store, good to know. My question: why was I not informed of this when I ordered, as it isn't on the brochure..... Joe didn't know, of course.
Now I have 1 kid with a medium pizza and 2 kids with large pizza's. Joe then decided to body shame, asking if my daughter can eat a whole pizza to herself. Bad move Joe... very poor taste, even worse attitude.
Sadly, the pizza went in the bin, the base was not cooked properly, burnt on the edges and doughy underneath, now THAT takes some skill and you would think the staff would have noticed when they tried to cut it...and it wasn't cut, of course .... disappointingly poor form.
That's $79 dollars wasted and I suggest everyone save your money and go somewhere else because they will at least cook the pizza properly and show you some decent manners for a better price.
Also Joe strongly believes in bullying customers if you try to give him feedback on his terrible service. I made a review on my facebook profile and Joe (the owner) saw fit to use the common facebook bullying tactic of reporting usernames under suspicion of not being your real name.
I know this was Joe because this was done almost immediately after posting the negative review on my own facebook page since his business page is set up to be reviewed before posting, this means if you leave a negative review, they can simply delete it and only accept the good reviews.
Again, avoid this restaurant, the pizza is terrible and the staff are absolutely toxic and full of themselves, especially the business owner Joe.
Edit: You are not fit to run a business if you take every critique as a personal attack and take such extremes as harassing and verbally abusing customers. On top of that, I keep screenshots and evidence saved and you are doing an excellent job of running your business into the ground with your toxic petty behaviour, replying to a comment that was made a very long time ago.
Have fun, you've already shown your clients and people on facebook the type of behaviour you see acceptable towards paying customers. Again, the screenshots and your harassment have been recorded.
Your issue is, instead of taking the opportunity to grow and improve your business, you take it as a personal attack to your frail ego and resort to immature, petty and highly unprofessional manners (again, harassing, taunting and verbally abusing customers instead of taking steps to improve your business, the toxic staff (including yourself), your low quality food, your inconsiderate nature towards clients and resorting to
"Nah nah nah nah nah we got an award years ago(that hasn't been awarded since for the very reasons I listed above) so that means I have no reason to improve/raise my standards and every single person out there is wrong."
Your mentality is going to cause the downfall of your business. Do not bother me again with your immature petty remarks to build up your frail ego, you've made it clear you're not a professional and you are not worth my time or anyone...
Read moreEDIT: Received a reply to my email review to which was friendly and concerned. Lasagnas were replaced and I was very happy with the customer service and product second time around.
Hi, I made an order for pick up this evening (5/07/20), made at 5:05pm for one pizza, two lasagne, cabonara and bolognese. I was impressed with your pricing for meals and had high hopes that this restaurant could be a new go to, just down the road! I called the restaurant at 5:35 to check up on the status of the order and was advised that it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I arrived 10-15 minutes later to be advised that the lasagne was 7 minutes away. I revisited the counter 10 minutes later to be advised the lasagne was just 1 minute away, to which I checked up on almost another 10 minutes later. All in all, it took over an hour to pick up the order. Once received, the quality of the meals were... Underwhelming. The two lasagne were different to each other, each with quite a lot of liquid, and I could not taste the bechamel sauce, it tasted more like a cheesey tomato sauce from a packet. I also felt that the meat tasted over cooked and under-seasoned. The other serving of lasagne was in sections with even more liquid than mine. I also ordered fettuccine pasta with the cabonara and received spaghetti. The feedback from the pizza noted that it was okay, but "not much meat". I probably won't return, but would like to offer this as constructive criticism for future...
Read moreI really dislike writing a bad review about a local business that has been around the coast as long as i have, but this one is derserving. 14/6/25 i ordered a Creamy Garlic Prawn Pasta and a large Super Seafood Pizza at 4.55pm. Shortly after i received a text confirmation that the order would be ready at 5.35pm. I got there just after 5.35pm. The lady (i think was incharge) informed me that there would be a 15 minute wait for the pasta. So i take a seat to wait. Pasta wasn't ready for another 25 minutes. All this time my pizza had been sweating in one of those hot bags. When the lady finally called me up with the pizza and pasta i said to her my pizza will be cold and soggy. She just said it will be fine. When i got home (3minutes away) The pizza was luke warm and very very soggy. But LOL the pasta as you can see by the pictures was the biggest surprise. Totally inedable. Not cooked properly , wrong pasta and absolutely "NO SIGN OF ANY CREAMY GARLIC SAUCE". I threw the pasta in the bin. I ate 2 pieces of pizza and put it in the fridge. The next day i took the pizza out of the fridge and looked at it , it seemed like a regular pizza size. So i rang the manager down there and asked what diameter that large pizza should be , he said 12 inches, so i measured the large one i had paid for it was exactly 300mm , just under 11 inches. Possible the worst experience at a take away on the coast i...
