We booked 2 double rooms for 4 of us to visit family in Penrith. A friend said that was a big mistake because the Grey Gums Pub next door rocks on Friday and Saturday nights. |When we arrived it was all quiet. After dinner we returned to lots of noise from the pub but the rooms were on the left hand side of the property away from the Pub and to be honest, once we shut the doors it was a faint hum.|The property was nice and clean but one room had a broken TV (antenna issues) room 21 and the ceiling light in the bedroom area was not working. Simple fixes I’m sure. |The second room - Number 5 had a spa bath. Both rooms were quite spacious. The only issue we had with this one was people in Room 4 trying to join their friends at 2am - kicking the door and yelling out that they |didn’t have a key and there was no one at reception. Because the 2 doors were so close together we thought they were trying to break into our room. It was not a pleasant experience. |The bed in Room 5 had some lumps in the mattress that made for an uncomfortable sleep. Both rooms were very dark even in the daylight hours. Dark coloured walls and dark timber cabinets with dark carpet and poor lighting. I think some light coloured paint and upgraded lighting would provide a nicer ambience. |Parking was easy|Location in regards to getting to restaurants etc was fine. There was a nice gazebo in the garden/ car park to sit outside ( Altho I think it was for the smokers).|The rooms served us ok...
Read moreLocation is premium as it is close by to big shopping centers and next to the pub that serves beautiful food with good value for money...Rooms are spacious, old style but clean and tidy. Previous experience is they have about 1/3 left of the toilet paper when we just came in and we could not find a new roll elsewhere. Their shower is pretty good in other rooms but when we stayed there recently on the other side (room 30 +) it is small with not much pressure and you can feel the cold. My recent experience is very disappointing as we paid $160 on a Saturday night. We chose to hire an accommodation so we can rest properly but we ended up not sleeping until about 4:30 am in the morning due to a "transformer" emiting noise evident especially at night when everythings so quiet. It was located inside the cupboard and you could hear it even its closed. I took a video of it to show proof. We (husband and I) ended sleeping on the other room (there is a division) at the top of a single/ wobbly bunker (my father in law at the bottom) and slept on and off like sardines in a can until 8:30 am... We told the receptionist in the morning about our concern and, she apologized and told us that she will get the transformer looked at...Very unhappy considering we...

If you’re a local, you can’t stay there more than a night, locals have to pay $100 bond, they will kick you out after one night. We couldn’t have a shower as the water was cold, waited 2 hours then when I called to get a refund, they said wait for plumber, waited and another 40mins still nothing, called front office to demand a refund, she said that I being aggressive, Finally told me we will give you a refund, walked to the office to get my cash back, she told me no cash when I said thank and please understand why I’m frustrated, she rolled her eyes, went the next day and the manager told me no cash kept here and banned me from going there again. 5 days later still no cash.
Manager was rude and arrogant, there more then 50 hotel in penrith, to get treated like that when I’m a loyal guest, it’s not right. I hope you guys don’t treat other guests the was I...
