Today 14/6/2025 my partner and I decided that we would treat ourselves to some delicious gyg! Little did we expect to be disappointed with the service and the food, when ordering the two meals from this venue for one burrito being the pulled pork was meant to be spicy, the chicken to not be spicy as my partner can not handle spicy foods. Failed instructions when ordering My partner got the hot chicken burrito.!!! The order was completely mixed up, the chips were over salted I took photos to show just touching the top of the chips how much seasoning was on them, if you had salty chips before you know you can’t finish them because there not enjoyable, so I headed into store to complain about the food, management fixed the order by making two fresh burritos however after the second time my order was still not correct I ended up with no guacamole my partner had got it on hers so I was very disappointed in the way today’s lunch was and I don’t think I can look into spending money at this venue again.
Gyg is supposed to be quality food enjoyable it’s expensive for one reason because it’s great food, I wasn’t happy with the result today 👎
If the order was taken properly then this should have never happened more care needed in...
Read moreI don’t recommend the veggie enchilada. They can’t get the balance of the flavours right with what’s on the inside vs outside it. The corn chips are unremarkable. The fries just meh. I like the veggie burrito. I have tried adding sour cream ( unlike other places, it strangely takes away from it ) and adding coriander did nothing for it either. The veggie filling is a limited mix of capsicum, onion and corn. Any vegetarians who have ate at their competitor or any other good Mexican knows this is rather boring.
Having said that, it is still tasty and something I eat often. I suggest ordering as is and asking for spicy. My next suggestion is to stack up on Woolies own brand of plain corn chips and put them inside your burrito. Trust me, it will taste amazing. My husband likes to eat them at home, add extra cheese and put in the air fryer for 10 minutes for a crispy cheesy...
Read moreWe had been regulars at GyG. My fiance has an allergy to beans and it has never been an issue to ask for no beans explaining why we can't have them. GyG have been great until today. The receipt says NO BEANS, the yellow sticker on the lid clearly says NO BEANS yet the meal was full of beans! We fiance went back in to be met with laughter from the staff, like an allergy is a joke. Absolutely disgraceful that in a place that is so easy to not put beans, given they are not close to where everything else was served. To laugh at an allergy is appalling and disappointing to see. If they cannot read and follow three lines of instructions, one in bold capital letters, what is the point of their working? If my fiance took ill as a result of this negligence, I would be furious. What if this...
