Stayed 3 nights, 4 of us, Room No. 14, our room is separate from other rooms, it was quiet and we loved it! Our room has a wall in between beds so the AC can’t perform optimally because of the wall. Our room was good size, has coffees, teas, sugar, glasses, wine glasses, 4 cups, 4 teaspoons, ironing board, an iron, extra blanket, it was clean, toiletries got topped up daily, our room got daily service too = clean towels daily plus Netflix on TV too! Good size bathroom. Top of shower glass and shower door were clean. I did check because we hang our towels on them. More towel rail would be great to hang all 4 towels. Everyone was helpful: the guy at the Pub showed us the hotel ‘entrance’ / door, the Reception (Sadie - hope I spelled her name right) was friendly and helpful, the housekeepers (a senior lady and a young lady) are polite, friendly and helpful. We got extra pillows but since there were already extra pillows on our beds, we returned them back to the housekeeper (a senior lady). Got complimentary 4 welcome drinks (but we forgot about them 😬), complimentary 4 bottles of water and 2 small carton of milk, topped up daily too!! Location: close to Woolies, Coles, Aldi and Pharmacy, as well as fast food joints, Asian grocery, cafes and restaurants! We booked about 11 days in advance so the rate was higher. If we booked on the D day, it would be $81 cheaper/night 🤭 No lifts, but we already aware of this, it’s not an issue at all. I personally not a fan of the ‘Entrance’ / door, mainly because of the cigarette smoke. Patrons smoke at the back of the Pub which is where the ‘Entrance’ / door is. One afternoon, we came back and we could smell cigarette smoke along the ‘Entrance’ hallway, lucky our room (all rooms) is upstairs. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Highly...
Read moreBooked for convenience to family. The rooms have been renovated and are exceptionally nice. Very clean and tidy. For two people the bedroom was just big enough with everything we needed. Most happy with comfort of the bed and pillows (which were just right!). We usually have an issue with enough electrical sockets due to phone charging, cpap machine etc (normally we take a power pack and extension lead).... but they have given each side of the bed two sockets AND a phone charging usb port in the middle. The bedside lamps are wired separately. Most impressed!||Breakfast was supplied as a pack with milk, cereal and plastic container and wooden spoon. Tea and coffee making facilities with fridge in room. Hairdryer available from reception but I always take my own. ||The bathroom was spacious with a rain shower head which I didnt want to leave. Very well designed and decorated. ||Air conditioned with dark blind.||Only downside (if it is really) is that being a pub they have music on (we stayed on a Saturday night). We expected that might be the case and you could hear muffled music upstairs but 10.30 on the dot it finished so we had a perfectly quiet nights sleep. ||Only downside would be for someone who could not navigate the stairs as there is no elevator.||So good were staying again...
Read moreGreat location, surrounded by cafes and supermarkets. I rarely stay in bars (although my past work in a bar made me quite familiar with such settings!), and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent soundproofing of the hotel. It was not noisy at all. Plus, getting a drink was really convenient, haha. The only downside is that it's hard to catch the room service during the day if you go out. It seems they need to ask you before they clean your room; if you're not there, it won't get cleaned. I would book here again for future trips. More tips: The hotel has two entrances. If you enjoy watching drunk men go crazy (which I do, even though I'm a solo female foreign backpacker) rather than feeling scared, you can choose the door that goes through the beer garden. Otherwise, you can opt for the entrance that leads directly to the street. This option is more convenient and quieter. This is because, unfortunately, the local old drunkards seem to enjoy making disrespectful and lewd comments towards women. This does nothing but reveal the unhappiness in your own sex life, which isn't something to brag...
