Charles Hotel — Restaurant in Wollongong City Council

After looking for somewhere to have lunch we noticed big signs out the front that says Open Lunch & Dinner 7 Days.

We walked into the place and it was like a saloon in Wild West where as we entered there was deafening silence as a group of drunk old man turned to look at my partner and I as the tumble weeds went past.

After asking bar staff " Jordan " if they were open for lunch they said no lunch Dinner Monday and Tuesday. We were not offered any alternatives and this would be in breach of RSA legislation.

We than exited the pub and found something nearby.

This is false advertising and the street facing signs should be removed or changed to reflect the hotel operations. If you are not open for lunch or dinner 7 days a week this should not be advertised to the main road in order to lure unsuspecting members of the public into...

We had my brothers suprise 40th at the Charles hotel last night and the function room was amazing, outdoor area's lovely, nice food and to top it off the managers Sandy and Ian went above and beyond prior to the event and on the night of the event, all of the staff were friendly and accommodating they also went above and behind probably one of the best service I've had at a pub or club from managers and staff, thank you for helping make the night truly...

We hired the function room on Saturday night and it was perfect. We pre ordered food from the function food menu and everyone complemented everything served. We were lucky they had live music so we danced and sang all night. The staff were amazing especially Diana and sandy. Thank you for going above and beyond.
