Ischgl — Hotel in Ischgl

I have always loved skiing in Ischgl. But i have a bad feeling they don't treat people fair in the last years: they switch off lifts with what looks like a false excuse (strong wind) when there are not enough people in the resort so they can save money. This happened again yesterday. The morning weather was not good, so only very few lifts started operating. That's OK. But with few people skiing, they kept most of the lifts off until late afternoon. The only good skiing was on Pardatschgratbahn, yet one had to go all the way down the boring bottom parts because they would not start Vellileckbahn nor Pardoramabahn for the whole day. They go to the same place as Pardatschgratbahn and Grat which were running. Later in the afternoon they started Höllspitzbahn, which was great, but they stopped it 15 minutes early again, with no good excuse. And I was so looking forward to the #26 skiroute for my last ride :/

The resort is great BUT listen to this: I have entered the public parking lot on Friday and when trying to pick up my car Saturday evening after ski day, before travelling home it occurred that the parking is closed and I will be able to pickup my car tomorrow because THERE IS A CONCERT XD Tried to talk to police, they said that it was written. Check out the photo showing how ‘it was writtern’. They also told me they have this issue every year. Really? If you have this issue every year haven’t you thought about more appropriate marking or letting people know that you will close the parking? And the day I was entering the parking lot (morning day before) it was not there. Now I have to take another night in a hotel and rush very early in the morning back home hoping that I will be still able to catch my flight. Shame on you Ischgl. I loved the...

Ischgl wird oft als eines der Top-Skigebiete Europas gehypt, aber meine Erfahrung war leider das komplette Gegenteil. Als Snowboarder war das Gebiet eine absolute Enttäuschung. Die Pisten sind kaum zusammenhängend, sodass man ständig wieder auf einen Lift angewiesen ist. Endlose Ziehwege machen es nahezu unmöglich, flüssig zu fahren, abschnallen, laufen, weiterfahren, und das Spiel beginnt von vorne.

Preislich bewegt sich Ischgl auf einem sehr hohen Niveau, das meiner Meinung nach in keinem Verhältnis zur gebotenen Leistung steht. Für ein Bier werden teils über 7 € verlangt, und das Essensangebot ist wenig abwechslungsreich. Egal, in welchem Teil des Gebiets man sich befindet, überall gibt es fast dasselbe, keine individuellen Angebote oder kulinarischen Highlights, die man von einem renommierten Skigebiet erwarten würde.

Auch in puncto Atmosphäre bietet Ischgl kaum etwas. Schöne, gemütliche Berghütten, die zum Verweilen einladen, sucht man vergebens. Stattdessen gibt es überwiegend funktionale Selbstbedienungsrestaurants ohne Charme. Wer sich mal eine Pause in der Sonne gönnen möchte, wird enttäuscht. Sonnenliegen? Fehlanzeige! Ich habe während meines Aufenthalts vielleicht eine einzige gesehen. Auch ein bisschen Musik oder eine angenehme Stimmung sucht man hier vergebens. Alles wirkt eher lieblos und auf schnellen Durchsatz ausgelegt, anstatt ein echtes alpines Erlebnis zu bieten.

Ein weiteres Ärgernis: Wer es wagt, in die Schweiz rüberzufahren(Route 80), hat ein echtes Problem. Die Rückkehr ist nicht ohne weiteres möglich, da man auf den Skibus angewiesen ist und der fährt nur mit vorheriger Reservierung. Wer Pech hat und keinen Platz bekommt, darf ewig warten.

Fazit: Für mich war das ein einmaliges Erlebnis und definitiv kein gutes. Ischgl ist für Snowboarder schlicht ungeeignet, überteuert und überbewertet. Es fehlt an Charme, Atmosphäre und guter Infrastruktur. Warum dieser Ort so gehypt wird, bleibt...
