Ferienwohnungen Falkenstein HINTERGLEMM — Hotel in Saalbach-Hinterglemm

Our family (2 adults, 3 children: 16, 12 and 9) had a wonderful holiday week. The location of Falkenstein was really good, next to the slope and short walk to Hinterglemm main street. The change day being Sunday was good, no traffic jam and Saturday was quiet in the slopes.

We stayed in the penthouse and that was beautiful. Furnishing was stylish, bedrooms big enough with good beds and both rooms had own bathrooms. Third child could sleep on sofa and that also had a real mattress. Kitchen had high-quality equipment and the breakfast bread service was special. The balcony was large, had a nice view and a sauna. And the ski storage was big and we could dry the boots down there.

The owners were really nice, we were treated like friends. Children were warmly welcomed. We got excellent recommendations for restaurants and they made reservations for us as well. Please note that in some restaurants it's allowed to smoke inside and you may not pay with card in every place. We had problem with our credit card in ATM, but the owners helped us to get some cash. Without their help we would have been in trouble. Pleasant atmosphere made the stay comfortable.

We visited Ferienwohnungen Falkenstein in January. I must say it was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed for our winter holiday. The apartments are brand new, clean and equipped with even more useful gadgets then we have at home. All the rooms are very spacious with an ensuite bathroom. And the personal sauna in the apartment....just perfect!! Each apartment also has it's own ski box that is very big. The location of the apartment is great, almost at the slopes, close to the supermarkets, close to the nightlife (but far enough so you can not hear anything). The owners are very friendly and flexible and very very helpful. We had a few problems before our arrival (our fault) and the lovely owner was very understanding. Whatever we needed she was always there to help us. Not to forget free parking and free wifi!!!! We could't ask for more and we will definitely come back to...

Went there last week to go biking with a bunch of friends first and to have relaxing days with my family in the second half of the week. What can I say, both ways it was incredibly beautiful, superb luxury penthouse combined with extraordinary friendly service of the hosts Julia and Martin, having their own apartment in the same building. Plenty of storage space for our bikes and/or baby buggy and boot dryers perfectly suitable to always have body protectors dry and ready for the next day. My personal highlight was the large roof terrace providing almost kitchy sunsets while having barbecue and a cold beer or in case the weather sucks to just hang out in the Finish Sauna.

Long story short: WE ALL WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR...maybe even twice, for...
