For 30 euros for a small schnitzel.. I expect better service.
I had a really weird experience with the staff. We where with a group of about 14 people and about 5 people including me ordered the schnitzel. I noticed thay the schnitzel i got was maybe half the size that the others where. I asked my collegues if i was seeing it wrong but everyone agreed.
So the next thing i did was ask what the waiter what was going on, and that i had the feeling mines was smaller. His response "well those guys are big so they have to eat more, and you are smaller so don't need so much" im slim built and the others not. But then he just walked away.
I was a bit astonished, was he telling a joke? But then why not try to find a fix?? Or was this a 'youre a tourist dont bother me' kind a situation. I have no clue, I ate a big part of the schnitzel of a collegues as his apetite was not as big as mine.
But I am not pleased by the way this was handled and suggest you to find another place. This was my first unpleasant encounter with austrian waiters. I speak german fine so neither was this a waiter that had trouble communicating.
The other waiters where friendly but this waiter was someone higher in...
Read moreThe place is very conveniently placed at the bottom of many lifts into the ski area and a short walk from the Dorfstrasse. It is also sunny and they have a large terrace.
But it also has downsides: Altough I am pro cash I think there should always be a choice and there is not a choice here (often). In 2024 it is not good to only have the cash option and force your customers to go to an ATM (that is also in the building and that has costs per withdrawal). Besides that sometimes at some bars in the building you can pay (sometimes) by card and sometimes not, very confusing and annoying.
Seems the place earns money too easy, they are not so friendly. We were sent out of the schirm bar area because they said it was not open, but the doors were open, people were sitting there, what does it matter if we sit there, as long as they buy some drinks (which we did at another bar at the same building that was open.
It's nice for kids also, there is a small playground next to it, and plenty of room for kids to walk a bit.
So bottom line low/unfriendly service, but great place and the after ski has a DJ and that's...
Read moreWe came here for our Christmas Eve meal. They had forgotten our reservation but still found a table, which we appreciated. The first course of soup was also good. But then we had issues. First, it took an hour and a half for the main course to arrive. Except it arrived for only two of us; the third dish came yet another half an hour later, or well after the other two had finished eating. The waitress explained that there was "chaos" in the kitchen and there was nothing she could do. The duck was overcooked, the sides over salted. It was certainly not worth the wait. When we got the bill we saw that they had charged us 7.50 for the bread they brought at the beginning. This showed up nowhere on the menu. They refused to take it off the bill. So overcharged, overcooked and two hours for the main course. It was an unforgettable Christmas Eve meal for all the...
