Overall this a very nice hotel, we stayed for skiing during February half-term 2023. The reception on arrival was pretty brusque, and not really helpful after a day of travel, but once in our rooms all was well. The rooms themselves were great for skiing, warm (but not stupid hot like a lot of ski hotels) good powerful showers and nice linen, they were kept appropriately clean. Breakfast was excellent a wide range of coffee options, fruit juices, continental and cooked options as well as cereals and fresh fruit. After skiing there was a really nice late afternoon hot stew and bread available free of charge which we very welcome and delicious. In the evening we used the Pizza/ Italian restaurant attached to the bar, the food was well priced and decent quality, from a modest menu selection, the staff were friendly and efficient.||The main facilities we used were the pool and spa areas, both are really pleasant areas. The pool was unsurprisingly very noisy during peak times (5 - 7pm) with the post ski kids brigade, but at other times was a tranquil place to have a swim and chill out. The Spa was a lovely space (fully nude as is normal in Austria) with two different temperature saunas, a steam room, infrared room as well as plenty of anti rooms to chill in. The other facility we made use of was the ski storage room, which like the rest of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The room itself has heated boot store and plentiful ski racks and has it’s own exit onto the street. Next door is a Late Check Out room, which has a shower and toilet for use if you want to ski after check out. The whole ground floor area is well throughout and feels well made and probably recently constructed.||We really enjoyed our time there, nothing was stand out exceptional, but everything was...

Read moreStayed here for a week in Jan 22. The rooms were pretty basic for the money paid. We thought the hotel was ski in ski out but this is not the case. They locked the easy route from the peiste on a night which was strange. My main problem with this place was how rude the staff were. There was one chap on reception (older guy with glasses) who was consistently so rude to each of our group, never one smiled or gave please and thank yous. We were taken back and actually laughed at his audacity. The way he spoke to his colleagues was short aswell. I found myself wanting to be rude back to him. Asking him a question was as if I asked him to punch himself in the face. In general I found the staff to lack English (unable to provide directions or recommendations). The rooms were very basic and the duvet/ cushions were so low quality they vanished when you placed your head on them. 2 small single duvets for a single bed. A twin room does not come with 2 beds but a sofa bed. So I paid £550 (half the room) to stay on a sofa bed for a week. The spa really uplifted the experience and without that I would have a major problem here. Apart from the fact it was nude (despite it being austrian to go without clothes we felt this was a little perverted). We had bed and breakfast, which was ok. There were plenty of choices it just got repetitive after a week. The juice was industrial like people say and I found the coffee to be abit off. In general the hotel was basic and just ok. There were non of the nice to haves when skiing like a fireplace. The communal area closed at 10pm every night. Restrictions on covid have recently lifted in the UK but in the hotel and Zell am See be prepared to wear masks everywhere, even outside. I would personally not return...
