Don't stay at this hotel. Very dangerous. I made a booking on 12th February 2018. 7 unknown individuals forced their way into my room (no. 304) at approximately 11pm and extorted money from me. It was a frightening experience. I had to force my way out of the room and pleaded with the the receptionist to call the police but he ignored my pleas. The receptionist instructed the security guard to close the entrance gate, but I managed to force my way out on to the street. I asked passers by to assist me but they ignored me. The thugs (one who was stupid enough to show me his id and called Muhammed Helal) came out of the hotel and instructed me to go back to my room otherwise my friend who was still trapped in the room would be harmed. I reluctantly went back to my room. When they weren't looking I managed to make contact with friends and family in London and sought their help. They sent friends with a police to eventually to rescue me and my friend. However we had managed escape from this hotel when another hotel close by became aware of what was happening and sent a driver to pick us up.||||I also noticed that bars on the windows in the rooms were padlocked. This would prevent anyone escaping via the Windows in case of any emergencies.||||The hotel receptionist staff also stole our luggage in order to prevent us from leaving the hotel. It is now our understanding that the hotel Staff were complicit with planning of the robbery, and had clearly known who the unwelcome visitors and crooks were.||||I will be making a formal complaint to the Hotel as well as reporting the hotel to the British High Commission.||||I will also be asking my credit card company...

Read moreI visited Dhaka on and from 25.09.2017 to 30.09.2017. I had astonishing experience with Mr. Hasan Mondol. We neither saw nor spoke to each other ever before. Over the very first call, Mr. Mondol inquired if I intended to visit Bangladesh. I told him it would be a family tour. Next he wanted to know if I got visa. As I told him I was yet to proceed for that, He gave his personal number and told me to proceed. On getting visa, I wanted to know the amount I must send him in advance, reply came instantly, " Kono samasya nei" meaning "absolute freedom from problems". We flew to Dhaka to be warmly welcomed by Mr. Hasan Mondol, a short, slim, narrow cut bearded smiling person. Then we talked business. Rents were well within expectations, room services were very good, restaurant services were purely homely. We tried food elsewhere also but finally settled for this only. Every staff was so soft spoken and gentle that at the end of the grating tour I have only one word left - EXCELLENT. One more thing: I was cheated at the money exchange counter in India whereas this hotel even street corner coffee junction gave me the correct exchange. So, visit Bangladesh, meet Mr. Hasan Mondol and stay at Hotel Pacific Lake View and Resort at Road 23/c, Gulshan - 1 while...
