BRAC Centre Inn — Hotel in Dhaka Metropolitan

This is my first time in Dhaka and I booked this hotel because a client I know booked this for their training. And the ratings on Tripadvisor were good. Brac is not a hotel chain, it is a non governmental development organisation that helps the poor. Brac inn is a part of this 14 storey building. ||||The hotel is exactly like the website pictures. The rooms are new, large, comfortable and well furnished. The bathroom fittings are new - although they can look into the water pressure. There is a mini bar, free wifi - with decent speed, a safe and different lighting options for your needs. Although the staff has limited English skills, they are ready to help and one phone call to the reception is enough. ||||Checkin: Like a breeze. They also sent me a welcome package to my room - a glass of juice and some fruits, which was a nice touch.||||Transport: I used the hotel car on one day and they gave me a good price. Although the student protests in the city washed over my plans to see historic places, I went to nearby areas and did some shopping, had lunch. The driver Delwan knew hindi making it easy to communicate. He was parked around and looked out for me. I never had to call him up once I was done with my thing. One thing they should really work on is their knowledge of their own city. I asked him to take me to a local food place and he did not really know where to take me. I finally ended up at a place that had the usual food. ||||Food: Room service ends at 10pm which is a little early. But understandable since this is not an international hotel chain. The food is okay. I ordered fish the first night and it came in a small size with a sad side of veggies. Breakfast is also A la carte with not much choice. They make what you order - eggs, fruits, toast, coffee, yoghurt, cornflakes, juice. Pretty much that's it. What really surprised me was that they don't serve water with breakfast. Only beverages and juice. I asked for water and they charged me for the bottle. I had to wait for a separate bill to be generated since I had signed the breakfast bill. ||||Not a bad place to stay. I recently visited BRAC Center Inn for a competition finale, and honestly, it was such a great experience! From the moment I entered, I could tell how well-managed and organized the place was. We were also served food during the event, and I have to say the quality was great! The food was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented. The staff made sure everyone was served on time and were super polite throughout.

Overall, I was genuinely impressed with how well everything was arranged — from the cleanliness to the service and overall vibe. It’s a perfect place for hosting official programs, competitions, or any kind of formal event. Everything just works smoothly here.
