First time staying at this hotel in Brussels. It was a last minute decision and by luck had a room available during a busy time of the month. Stayed for a week for around €63-89 Euros a night. -From the airport to the hotel by Uber it was €26.70 Euros. (on a Monday in the morning) I noticed at the hotel there are always one or two taxis waiting during peak hours. -Ideally located near major government institutions, business offices and the more downtown tourist parts of Brussels. Example - walking from the hotel to the Grand Plaza took me around 15-20 minutes and to the European Commission was around 20-25 minutes. -There is a 24/hrs reception desk. Staff spoke a variety of languages. I noticed Dutch, German, French, maybe Flemish and Spanish, and of course English. Guests seems to be mostly business travelers. Hotel interior is well designed and maintained. Staff were courteous. -Strong wifi signal in common areas and in my room. At times when uploading files for work it hovered around 4.4-7.1 MB/s . Ideal speeds for VOIP and streaming with no problem. No noticeable dip in quality at different times of the day. -Located in a pretty safe neighborhood. About a block and half away there is a pretty big police station. There are some good restaurants within a 10 minute walking radius. Also, there is a small grocery chain store on the other side of the street and I think it closes around 1900hrs + open on Saturday. Located on the corner of Rue Royale and Rue du Moniteur. The store is not listed on Google Maps or Street View as of 2018.12.08. If you need to buy last minute gifts there is a Leonidas chocolate store within a 5 minute walk. -My room was clean, had a single table and a padded chair, a "mini-queen size" bed, reasonable size TV (it was offset, mounted to the wall, hdmi input option), the room was well lit, carpeted, a standing height wall mirror, and have a reasonable number of power sockets. The light controls and power sockets were conveniently located. Beside the bed for easy use and on each side of the bed a directional light that is independently controlled. Ideal for reading if your partner is sleeping. The bed ("memory foam" like mattress) and pillows were comfortable. -The washroom was clean, had a standing shower, and well lit. However, it didn't have a fan so it got a little steamy after shower. -On one side of the bed and within arms reach, there is a shelf with three levels. It was practical, used it to store my backpack and hold drinks and snacks. -Had plenty of coat hangers but no ironing in the room. -There was no fridge, microwave, clock, phone, and or ethernet jack. - AC controlled and it was quite. No random on or off noises. No weird room odor and not stuffy. -There is a continental breakfast option for €9 Euros. Typical bread, pastries, hams, boiled egg, milk, juices, etc... options. Utensils and plates were clean and plentiful. Breakfast starts 0600-1000. Gets busy around 0800-0930. Staff are diligent in cleaning after the guests when they leave and resetting the tables. -The hotel common area consist of a variety of sofas and tables. On the "zero" floor there are plenty of seating and table options. Breakfast is served there as well. There is a court yard with patio seating. During non-breakfast times, it is a good place to work or chat. Seating is comfortable and tables are situated at the right height. There is two long work table that can comfortably seat 12 people. The common area is big enough were you can find an area to work or talk with another person without getting distracted by nearby people. -On the main floor where the check/reception desk is located, there is a bar with more sofas and coffee size tables for two people. And if you have made it to the end of this review and wondering why is this person writing so much it is because I am bored waiting at the airport for a connecting flight. Overall, I recommend this this hotel. Reasonably priced for the quality of standard you are paying, conveniently located, clean, and good customer service.

Motel One Brussels is located quite ideally close to the center and hardly 500 meters from Brussels Centraal station. This makes the route from the airport to the hotel quite easy and seamless. The rooms are clean and neat, equipped with tissues, towels and some toiletries. However, they are small without giving the feel of coziness. No wardrobes, no water heater in rooms or coffee/tea kit or water facilities. It is normal for travellers to want to have a cup of hot water, tea or coffee but no such basic comfort available. The only options are to either opt for a breakfast package or buy one a la carte. While being conveniently located and with clean well serviced rooms, the lack of a few simple amenities and the size of the rooms bring down a couple of points. I have stayed here earlier and would perhaps stay here again but my rating is a reflection of real feedback for them to take as is and for others to know what is available or not. When available, the breakfast spread is nice with a decent variety but with the necessary European touch - so expect breads, pastries, cold sliced meats etc. and limited warm foods. Coffee is great with a few machines. Service at the reception is friendly, quick and helpful. Service in the restaurant is efficient. There is a lobby bar that also offers some snacks. It isn't a bad place to hang out but dependent on time - certain times of the day there is a lot of traffic navigating from the reception to the lift or to the entrance, so it could be distracting. Room service seems efficient. I have rarely crossed paths but the clean up is nice once you are back to your room.

I have stayed here twice within the last 12 months. The hotel is very well located. In a few minutes one is almost everywhere central Brussels in foot. Hotel entrance is designed nicely with a small bar to the left. The staff at the reception ya friendly even if it late at night or with bigger groups. Several languages are spoken. Hotel rooms are small and nicely designed. No bar or fridge, shelves and cloth hangers substitute for cupboards the only thing is that there is no table to put luggage or trolly on so need to leave it on floor. WiFi password is already on the invoice. International and local tv and news channels. My only issue with my room this time was that was facing the main road, so it was very noisy. Note to self, earplugs next time. Breakfast area is interesting. Not the typical tables and chairs setting so you might on a crowded morning struggle to find a place or sit in a group. The breakfast is good and offers varieties of things and oiled eggs. 3 coffee machines stations stations are available. Prices are good for the value of location, cleaners. It perfect for wheelchairs due to entrance chairs and room sizes. If you find my review useful, kindly press the like button below. Thank you!

From the moment I stepped into the hotel's restaurant, I was greeted by an ambiance of warmth and hospitality. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling breakfast delicacies wafted through the air, enticing my senses and preparing me for a culinary adventure.

The breakfast buffet was a testament to the hotel's commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. A vast array of breakfast options, ranging from classic favorites to international specialties, was beautifully presented, tempting even the most discerning palate.

What truly set this breakfast apart was the exceptional attention to detail and the genuine care exhibited by the staff. They were attentive to every need, ensuring that each guest felt valued and appreciated. Their warm smiles and polite demeanor created an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation.

I was particularly impressed by the hotel's commitment to catering to vegan guests. A dedicated section of the buffet featured an abundance of plant-based options, including fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy-free yogurt, and an assortment of vegan pastries. The staff was well-versed in vegan cuisine and happily provided recommendations to ensure that I had a satisfying and enjoyable breakfast experience.

The cleanliness of the restaurant was impeccable. The buffet area was spotless, and the staff was constantly replenishing food items and maintaining a clutter-free environment. This attention to hygiene is a testament to the hotel's dedication to providing a safe and comfortable dining experience for all guests.

The multilingual staff deserves special recognition for their ability to communicate effectively with guests from diverse backgrounds. They spoke English, French, and Spanish fluently, ensuring that no guest felt lost or misunderstood. Their ability to connect with people from different cultures further enhanced the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

Without a doubt, the hotel's breakfast buffet deserves a perfect 5-star rating. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a clean and welcoming environment made it an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly remarkable...

My very first stay at a MotelOne - definitely my last, too. I am a disabled person who needs an assistance dog. I had a business travel with various other members of my team staying at the same hotel. At my arrival there was a “higly-motivated” receptionist. There were some problems with my bookings (can happen) that she doesn’t even wanted to solve. Instead they let me there at the hall with all my stuff dog and medicine. They had no interest at all and it seems that they even did not care if I get in serious health problems soon… and I told them.

Although there was a credit card from my company, as well as an already paid room from one of my colleagues - they expected an immediate payment. (I was asking if I just can put my stuff in the room, take my medicine and we will fix the situation later when my team members arrive to avoid a collapse due to my disease) - that was no solution for them so that I finally ended this conversation with picking money from my sons bank account (The worst thing a mother could do to their kids.) just to avoid a collapse in the entrance hall.

At breakfast I have had the worst situation ever. As I had a temblor at the buffet, since they didn’t allow my assistance dog to assist me, and the waiter asked me to leave the buffet, because “people may be afraid of my disability” - OKAY - this never happens to me. What kind of policy you have at Motel One? Disabled people stay outta here??? Finally after this discrimination (and due to a changed time schedule) I wanted to cancel my last night. So I went down to the reception asked for cancellation. Unfortunately it is not possible to cancel the room after 3 o clock. - Okay I totally understand that - it was 8 minutes past three !!! And my room was already empty…

So if you like to support disabled people I recommend you NOT to stay at Motel One. Our team decided to avoid them on...
