We were very disappointed by our experience of the ballet at Cirque Royale. The seats we had even at €40 a head had a terrible view of the stage (note in London at the Royal Opera house there are good seats even at £10). The place was half empty, and when the performance started (late) there was a mass movement of people to better seats - which makes sense, but wouldn't it make more sense to price the thing so that tonnes of seats didn't remain empty?

The bar was overpriced, you had to pay 50c to use the toilet (very much cheapens the experience even if it makes the venue a few more euros) and people had their coats on because it was still cold, and having read the reviews it looks like in summer it's the opposite.

Lastly, the ballet didn't have a live orchestra which is a shame in itself but rendered even worse when the sound recording quality was so bad. Would absolutely not recommend and would not return. Very short term thinking exhibited...

Went to see Dirty Dancing on 19th April. Absolutely shambolic! Our seats were directly in front of a pillar so the view was restricted, despite purchasing category 1 tickets (this should not be allowed).

Then onto the start of the show.. The sound was in German - after lots of booing the sound team restarted the movie from the beginning, this time in English, with English subtitles which isn't very helpful if you don't speak the language... Lots of people walked out and nothing was done to fix the problem until the enteract (55 mins in).

The problem was eventually resolved for the second part but it's just not good enough when you've paid good money (124 euros for 2 tickets).

No response to complaint......

Authentic venue, surprisingly spacious compared to what you would expect at the entrance door. Seats at the centre ground floor can be expensive, while I xould recoomend the much cheaper side balconies, which provide a better view and equally comfortable seats and leg space. The acoustic characteristics are quite impressive and there is loudness control all over the place. This is smart, while In the past, too loud concerts often spoiled the experience. We have spend wonderful evenings here, this authentic Belgian theatre and the bar is absolutely worth visiting, and last but not least: it's located in the historic centre, allowing a flawless transition to a pleasant...

Lovely venue with great vibe . Love the looks and beautifully renovated . We had places upstairs and we had a great view and the accoustic was amazing . You can have a drink there as well . They give you a plastic cup that you can give back at the end of the show which is very handy for refill. You do have to pay 0,50€ for the toilet and to get there with the car and be able to park is not very practical . You can better go with public transport or by feet . Other than that a really gorgeous place with very kind and helpful staff.

Beautifully lit venue with best seating at lower levels. Beware that it can get extremely warm inside during summer. Upper (1st floor) is very steeply ramped and not for the fait hearted. I always wonder how successful a mass evacuation would work in this place! There’s a well stocked bar operating on a token system, but the queues are very very long. BEWARE: This venue charges €0.50 for access to Toilets (i've deducted 1* because of this).
