We recently spent 2 nights here. We were travelling by car and with our dog. Despite being asked for our time of arrival the only person in attendance when we checked in was the chambermaid ( her word not mine ). Initially she could not find our booking but once found we were given a room on the 3rd floor. There is a lift. I could not fault the room itself. It was spacious and clean. It had a big double bed and led out onto a small terrace. There was a sizeable bathroom with a shower over the bath. The terrace needs some further fencing as a small dog or child could easily fall under the current one. The room had a mini bar / fridge but would benefit greatly from a kettle and tea and coffee as, once breakfast is over, there appears to be no means of obtaining such simple refreshment. The nearest cafes and bars are in the town or on the beach both of which are a 10 - 15 minute walk away. Breakfast was good. Besides a well stocked buffet eggs are available but only fried or boiled. Parking is limited and around the back or side of the hotel. If you are travelling in a right hand drive car you have to park so close to the hedge that the driver has to climb out over the passenger seat. A 15 euro a day charge is also made. My overall impression was favourable but I had expected there to be more facilities to be on offer given the cost of the accommodation ( 175 euros per night ). Reception was never manned and for much of the time the front door was locked and could only be accessed via a code. No charge was made...

I leave it at that without going further into details. ||||In summary, the rm rates are a too high for this "kinda" B/B hotel together with parking fees which are way out of line...sure thing the parking fees are a wonderful profit centre.||It would have been appropriate if the parking fees would have been covered by the "high" room rates.||True the business is a season biz and the landlord has to make sure he will make ends meet yet, there lingers a subtle pauper atmosphere in and around this house which does not justify the...
