Spent a few days over the x-mas of 2013 at Pousada Juliana. The location is perfect, the service were great, the breakfast is very good and the room were lovely. ||||Had room number 22 and it has a bedroom, a bathroom and a stairway to a large private rooftop terrace. from the hammock on this rooftop terrace it was great to watch the ocean, mountains and streets below. Note that not all rooms have this rooftop terrace, so ask for it is it is important for you.||||Only downside we had were that the AC remote control could not be found the first day, but we got it the following days (as we did not have it we had to use the fan as we could not turn on the ac). Also the bathroom could do with a small upgrade (things were not properly connected). However, the water pressure were good and there were always a good amount of hot water (for those who need).||||Most staff speak only Portuguese, but that is common on this island. Finger language will work well. Also, if you plan on doing a snorkeling trip or something, check with the reception first. We booked a snorkeling trip to 3 beaches at 60 real, but were told by the reception that had we booked with them we could have it at 35 real. This as they pass on the commission to their customers or something like that.||||Wi-Fi only worked in reception, as promised when we booked. The speed is good for llha Grande, but quite slow compared to say Rio. Good enough to check out a few websites and emails. While on this beautiful island Internet is anyway not so important, the amazing nature makes you stay out all the time.||||Look forward to visit Pousada Juliana again, and will surely recommend...
Read more😊: Lovely little hotel with the back entrance leading right onto the street directly in front of the beach. Location wise it is unbeatable! The room was clean with really good air conditioning. The breakfast was also really good. I couldn't communicate too much with the staff as I don't know Portuguese but they were all really friendly and smiley so that was nice.. 😢: The WiFi wasn't great but that's an issue on the whole island. It didn't bother me but might be difficult if you are...
