This is truly a paradise like place. The Owners Nilo and Nene are like the grandparents you always wanted around, they are so kind and accommodating and so sweet to all of their guests. Nilo's family is one of the first to live in Praia do Rosa, and he and Nene have formed a beautiful and loving family here. This was originally their home, then they expanded it allow guests and eventually made it a bed and breakfast. They take great care in everything they do for you. They made the most amazing breakfasts for us daily, each day the place settings were different and adorned with a beautiful flower from the garden. I went on a yoga retreat with Yoga For Bad People and had the most amazing time. They called us cars, organized surf lessons, massages, provided water and tea, a special dinner with a samba instructor, and even made home made soup for one of us who got sick on the trip. The place is gorgeously decorated, to feel both comfortable and cultural filled with life and color and an intense beauty that Nene brings from the North. This is a family, and they treat you as such, with love and respect and more kindness than you could ever ask for. Praia do Rosa is a marvelous place - if you'll believe it I'd say that magic is in the air. The people are kind and welcoming and calm as you'd expect of a beach culture. The walk down to the beach is trickled with colorful flowers on tall walls of the greenest of ivys, the roads are all different types of cobbles stones, the sand itself is light and airy, the air alternates between thick and moist and light and breezy, the sun is radiant and relentless, and the ocean is at once serene and fierce with waves for the local surf culture - the backdrop is of lush green hills and cliffs of rocks that you can climb to get a longer view. It is amazing, you will not...
Read moreMe and my wife were road tripping chasing the sun going north from Rio Grande do Sul. We heard nice things about Praia do rosa but never been there before so we decided to stop by and arrived at Casa do Ceo just following the signs with no previous reservations. We were not that bold as you might be imagining, since it was end of May, totally off season, we suspected there won't be difficult to find a good place to stay. We became amazed as we were presented to the Inn by the owners themselves and fell in love so deeply we decided it was useless to take a look anywhere else. there were only two more rooms taken on that weekend and we felt like grandma has set room for us. The place is very cosy with a family atmosphere. Many handcraft colourful art pieces decorate the walls and the furniture. The living room with the two large cauchesa and a coffee table with art books on top gives and extra family house feeling. The view is one of the best from the swimming pool deck we could see the large Ibiraquera lagoon and to the side between the trees could see the ocean. The room we felt in love most was taken but we got the second best on the top floor, very spacious with two arm chairs and two windows with small balconies facing the pool deck. The breakfast was delightful served on small table for two decorated as if grandma wanted to express her joy to receive us. We had a great time and became fans of Praia do Rosa and Casa do Ceo. ||Thanks Nene and Nilo for taking such a...
Read moreUnforgettable stay! Nene, the owner, and Carlos, the manager, make sure your stay is pleasant and the most comfortable it can possibly be. We were in a big group, the whole place was booked for our family, and some of us were sick. Nene was so helpful and caring - even medicine she gave to us. She also graciously allowed us to stay in a room until after the check out, since our van was picking us up only at 3pm. The view from the deck by the pool is incredibly beautiful. The decoration of the whole place is adorable, lots of tasteful objects from Minas Gerais, Nene is very good with details. The breakfast is a feast, with fresh baked cake every morning. Not to mention the cheese bread freshly baked at 6pm, accompanying the daily afternoon coffee. Their restaurant ended up to be the best place we ate at Praia do Rosa. We ate there right when we arrived, and decided to try others just for the sake of trying different food, and we regretted in the end. Most other places are pricy, and unfortunately not very good. The beach by the pousada is very good, the only downside is that you have to walk up and down the hill, which is not fun to do with little kids. You have to ride in a car to the beach if this...
