Pousada Rústica Tiradentes — Hotel in Região Geográfica Imediata de São João del Rei

My wife and I decided to move away from the buzzing Rio de Janeiro in order to start the new year in a more peaceful environment. Friends advised us to visit Tiradentes and we ended up staying there a few days...lucky us! |Tiradentes is a precious jewel on itself, full of antics, arts boutiques, paved streets and charming churches. |But what will remain the best souvenir of this trip will be our stay at Pousada Rustica or, should I say, at our ”friend’s house” :)|Frederico and Rhonnel have been amazing hosts to us. |We have been blessed enough to travel a great number of times in many different places around the world, but nowhere have we felt so welcomed.|The ”pousada” is extremely well located, at few steps from the old town and less than 5 minutes walking up the hill to from Tiradentes main historical church. It has only a few rooms available, all equally sized from what we saw, nicely furnished and super clean. You will enjoy your own individual terrace which is nice at the end of the day to stare at the beautiful sky and you will also have access to a shared garden with beautiful flowers and banana trees. Colourful birds will enchant your day while you enjoy this peaceful garden of eden.|Did I mention our hosts already? :) Both of them have been superb. |Always available whenever we needed their support, they have been instrumental in sharing with us the area’s little secrets that allowed us to both feel at home and to make the most out of stay. Pousada Rustica is a very pleasant and charming building, featuring exposed recycled beams and unique furniture made from reclaimed timbers. Frederico and Rhonnel have decorated the posada with tasteful attention to detail. Breakfasts were delicious with fresh pão de queijo prepared every morning. ||||Both hosts are experienced historians and breakfasts were accompanied by deeply informative talks about the historic town of Tiradentes and the surrounding region. A Pousada Rústica é pequena e agradável como Tiradentes. Tem como diferencial o bom atendimento, lugar ideal para quem procura se sentir em casa, apreciando o cuidado em todos os detalhes. Frederico nos atendeu com muito carinho, explicando sobre os atrativos da cidade, dando boas dicas de restaurantes, etc. Trata-se de um lugar simples, porém aconchegante, muito bem cuidado e decorado.
