I got to Pousada da Fonte not really knowing what to expect. And found it at the end of a quiet peaceful lane but yet very close to the town. The reception was a calming and relaxing environment. Maiza the proprietor was friendly and welcoming. The room was a good sized double comfortable on suite with balcony and hammock. The breakfast was the highlight with a different freshly squeezed juice each morning with a great selection of tastes catered for. I could feel myself physically relaxing as I ate my breakfast on the veranda looking out onto the forest listening to bird song. Maiza then spent time explaining the different treks and guiding companies. I really was presently surprised at how comfortable and welcomed I felt there. I left feeling 100% more relaxed then when I arrived. Thank you Maiza for your hospitality...

I was a solo traveler in Brazil before the World Cup and Maiza went above and beyond to make me feel so welcome and comfortable! She is such a wonderful host. One day we went walking together to a beautiful natural swimming pool and water slide. Her pousada is beautiful, tucked away in a shady green space with glorious flowers and trees. One morning, I watched a family of little monkeys climb around the trees from my hammock. The pousada is a short walk from the center of town and is right near a trail to several waterfalls and the jungle. The breakfasts were generous and excellent, allowing me to try several new types of juice and get powered up for the day. I was in Brazil for a month and saw the world cup and yet my time in Lencois at Pousada da Fonte was definitely one of my highlights due to the peace and tranquility!...

The Pousada da Fonte is like a jewel in the range of places to stay in Lencois, located on a hill, very close to where the bus drops off travellers, it is also a stone throw away from the centre of the town.||||Very picturesque and clean, every effort is made by the hostess and staff was made to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable||||The hostess deserves special mention for her extraordinary efforts, taking us personally around town and helping resolve all our enquiries.||||Totally, totally recommend this Pousada as the first point of call for anyone interested in visiting Lencois- a scenic and beautiful town with hte most splendid of springs, waterfalls, ways and trekking...
