Brandnew hostel in the middle of the Santa Marta Favela. The owner Mario works as a tourguide and knows everything about the neighboorhood and history of the favela. His wife takes care of the hostel. My room was super clean already, but she gave it another clean when I checked in. I was also treated to an awesome home-cooked brazilian meal by her. I absolutely loved my stay with them - they make you feel so welcome and part of the family. Awesome city views from the rooftop. I booked 5 nights but had to leave after 2 nights because of my friends. They were super nice and understanding and didnt charge any cancellation fees. Can only...
