The hotel seems a bit tired and at a point where it needs refurbishment. For example, the lifts appear to not be fully working - the doors on one of the lifts did not open on some floors, or only partially opened, and then had to be manually pulled apart. ||In terms of the area - it is within walking distance of Santos Dumont Airport. It is within walking distance of public transport - the metro and VLT at Cinelandia area 10 minute walk away. It is not the most pleasant area at night, with numerous homeless people loitering - However, in fairness to the hotel, this is not their fault and there is 24 hour security in the hotel.||The air conditioning was running in my room on arrival and the curtains had been kept closed to keep the heat out, which is appreciated.||Staff at the hotel speak basic English. An issue with the in room safe was resolved through the use of google translate, but even with the language barrier, reception had maintenance in my room in under 10 minutes, which is very good service. ||There is a good selection for breakfast. There is good, fast wifi. However, it was apparent that my room had been well used and the fridge, for example, would have benefited from a deep clean. The hotel was ok for a short stay, but I would consider other hotels if in Rio de...

[ENGLISH FOLLOWS! Spoiler: don’t come here]

Surreal de ruim, tá quase me levando a loucura.

[ENG] It’s so bad it’s driving me crazy. I’m traveling on business and it’s been 20+ DAYS without any internet connection – the “free Wi-Fi” doesn’t work at all and we cannot even pay for a decent one. I can’t videocall my family, I can’t solve personal business online, cannot stream anything, cannot access any document, I’m practically living like a dinosaur. I’ll send my phone bill to the manager so they can cover my costs.

The location is kinda lame if you plan to enjoy the city outside of business hours. There isn’t a single soul in the streets after dark apart from homeless people and Rio is pretty unsafe as it is. The alleged proximity to the airport is pretty useless depending on the situation, as you still will need a ride from the airport if you’d like to keep your luggage. I’ve even heard someone saying that there’s been a theft just in front of the hotel.

The lifter is completely unreliable and I’ve also heard many reports of people being stuck inside it.

Breakfast and other meals are okay, the room itself is ranging from average to bad (the TV, as an exemple, is simply prehistoric and the few channels available offer more noise than actual image).

The staff is mostly kind, but some of them will treat you with such an aloof contempt that it will make you lose faith in humanity. I don’t blame the staff however, since most of the issues I’m having are related to (the lack of) structure. I can’t help but laugh (maybe cry?) with the mission 15’ and smile team irony (see pictures of the flier they put in your room).

The hotel is at full capacity but it clearly doesn’t have the capacity to hold this amount of people. Every passing day in this place gets me closer to losing my sanity, dear lord. Makes me wanna...

I first want to say that every staff member that I engaged with was super friendly and helpful. I'd also like to say that we stayed here during Carnival so my comments regarding price understands that. The room was $200 usd a night. I realize that $150 of that is because of Carnival so yeah this is about a $50 a night hotel. Imagine what that is and that's what you get so not too bad. The room is pretty clean the A/C worked fine. The room was a little worn but again for $50 a night not bad. The shower had great pressure. The buffet wasn't too bad either. There are pictures in the elevator that I'll post that makes it seem like you can order food but when I asked they said no so I'd take those pictures down so people don't eat before returning for the evening thinking they can order room service. There were plenty of snacks and drinks behind the counter and the sandwiches weren't too bad actually. The are "Centro" is pretty shitty. Compared to the Copacabana area it's pretty run down and smells like shit and piss. Over all 3 stars.

We have the worst experience in this hotel they don’t have rooms available at reservations was requested, we reception service it’s the worst and they never looks option to help also internet service was not working and we report 3 days consecutive and they don’t do anything to resolve. If someone go and need to work or us the internet like everyone please don’t stop there because they are not prepare for nothing. We lost days of works and they even care. The TV don’t have access for digital Netflix so it really bored on the night or if you want to spend time and relax on the bed. Really disappointed because we paid to much for nothing.
